Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The food is ok. After placing an order from their website, I noticed that their site is NOT SECURE. Ordering from third party platforms should be more secure with sensitive information.

Lovely food for good value. A nine inch pizza was only €5. The food came quickly and the staff were friendly. Would recommend.

Was slightly sceptical about this place as mixed reviews, however sounds like dine in more favourable than take away. Our meal was delicious, pasta tasted authentic. Alfredo chicken, creamy sauce with garlic bread pieces served with fries. Lamb burger, served with fresh salad and fries....Highly recommendedMore

I enjoy getting a takeaway of the delicious fresh salads like the fattoush salad and the baklava is excellent, wanted to dine with them for a sit in meal to try more Dishes called mejana Number listed online and was diverted to cedar house, I...asked was a through to mejana and if they had a table for 2 available which I was told yes. We arrived to the mejana venue on the riverside which was boarded up so we headed to cedar house assuming they forgot to explain only the Robert st restaurant was open. We ordered a few hot and cold mezza some olives, hummus, deep fried cheese & a flat bread with meat. We were the only table at the time dining and the food took just over 25 minutes to arrive which the waitress was very friendly and apologised for the delay. The flat bread dish was delicious along with the hummus and deep fried cheese was ok. Service again seemed very slow to clear our plates and was another long wait for our main course to arrive. I got the mixed grilled which was very good chicken was delicious lamb chop was a bit over cooked but ok my partner opted for a marinated chicken dish which was also delicious and we were overall satisfied when the food arrived. It was getting late and decided to get 2 portions of baklava for dessert to take away, when we got home to enjoy the baklava we discovered we were only given 1 portion which was delicious but very disappointed when we clearly asked for and were charged for 2. Overall I would say this restaurant is better as a takeaway option and not for dining in. I would definitely continue to get their delicious fattoush salads to takeaway and baklava but would definitely check my order was correct before I leave. I hope whoever reads this review takes the opportunity to view it in a constructive manner rather than a destructive one as the restaurant I believe has massive potential and just needs a little more focus on providing a better meal experience overall as the food is of a good standard. Best wishes for the future.More

So, Mejana was the sister restaurant and has moved to Cedar house in new surroundings but familiar faces. We had the most delicious meal here tonight, they've never disappointed us yet.. Excellent friendly service and amazing food. Without a doubt our favourite restaurant in Limerick...city. See you again soon guys 👌More

Appalling service and food. Take away in March 2020. The food was cold and looked incredibly unappetising. It arrived approx 1.5 hours after we ordered on a week night, only to find the chicken main dish was missing. When I called I was met with...a very unprofessional response but a further phone call to reassure that I was SURE the dish wasn’t there they agreed to send it out. This arrived approx another 1.5 hours later. In total waiting for food for over 3 hours and it was of course cold. For a take away for 2 people costing €40 I would expect better, and when it was Mejana we were always happy. Cold food, soggy lettuce was what they called a salad, stale products, burnt greasy chicken. This was appalling, I think possibly the worst meal I’ve had. I would strongly advise against going here.More

Visited here after seeing it on ‘first table’. Have never seen or noticed it before - definitely an unsung hero of a place. I have a thing about kebabs! I was very impressed - there is a nice outdoor eating area at the back which...is very authentic! Service was fantastic, very helpful and attentive. Staff were genuine and welcoming and knowledgeable! Food looked and tasted incredible. The home made donner sauce was perfect, I haven’t been able to get this sauce anywhere in Ireland. The Lebanon bread tasted gorgeous, I’d never had it before. The donner meat was fresh and well cooked - also cut perfect which I think is important. The salad garnish was fresh and plentiful! Very happy to have found this place! I would recommend!! Prices also very good and great portions!More

Would not recommend to anyone. Their taste is barely edible. To top it off is their terrible customer service. They delivered the food 45 minutes late.

Order took 30 minutes to make. Then was wrong. Missing items, wrong items. Called the restaurant when I got home to explain the issues, person who answered was rude and unhelpful and hung up on me. Plenty of other late night fast food places in...Limerick city, go elsewhere.More
