We have eaten here quite a few times staff and food always outstanding. We also get a lot of take away from here. I placed an order one night only to be told when the fresh prawns were delivered that day the restaurant didn’t like the look of the prawns so it was off the menu. I’ve never been so impressed. The only thing I would say is don’t get delivery it’s so so slow whatever company they use. Just go in and get it to go. The food and staff are amazing

What a find. We had a fantastic dinner last night. Certainly up there with the best we’ve had and that’s a lot, including in Japan.
Staff were courteous and efficient, decor/ambience was smart casual Japanese style and, most importantly, every single dish we saw leaving the kitchen looked fantastic. Prices were very fair and we loved it so much we’ve just been back for lunch!
Perfect.

As a whole, I would recommend this restaurant. The food is very good and the price is very reasonable, which is what you want. The bentos are particularly excellent. I read other reviews complaining about the rudeness of the staff. Even though they are not particularly friendly as Irish standard, they are ok. However, I wish they wait until all customers are gone to take their bins outside on the pavement. I was there twice recently and twice it happened. Two,or,three people taking the bins out through the restaurant passing us. And even our waitress came back from outside and attended our table right after it without washing her hands!

There was 4 in our group and all started good as we were shown to our table and our drinks and food order swiftly taken. However from here on faulty towers wouldn’t have a look in!!
We got our drinks order delivered and shortly afterwards 2 of our 3 starters arrived. We had ordered 3 starters to share between 4. There was at least a 5 minute delay until our 3rd starter arrived so me and my wife had ours practically eaten by then. Said nothing and just got on with it because the food was very nice.
Fast forward to our mains order when one main arrived on its own. About ten minutes later another main course arrives. Meanwhile nobody is eating because they are waiting on the other 2 mains to arrive. My teenage girls start to pick through their mains because they don’t feel comfortable eating on their own. About 20 after our first main arrived I asked what is the delay in getting our 2 remaining courses. I was told 3/4 minutes!! Then we start getting rice and chips delivered and still no main course. Ten minutes passes and the rice is now cold. The girls food is also cold and wasted. I ask again about our order and told they are very busy and someone else got our order. Three quarters of an hour later we still don’t have the remaining 2 mains so we’ve all had enough. I go to reception and tell the lady we are leaving. No apology about the terrible service. I then received a bill for €85. She said she didn’t charge for our 2 mains that never arrived. I was charged for the rice we received and a bowl of chips that was to accompany our mains that we never got. Obviously I questioned this and got another bill for €80. I said again I wasn’t happy and I was very rudely told to pay the bill. I said I have no problem paying my bill but I’m not paying for food we didn’t get. Another bill for €55 is produced and at this stage so to just get out of there I gave her €50. The lady is now shouting at me to pay the €5 balance and it’s a small restaurant so some customers are now turning around to see what’s going on. Very uncomfortable!!! She agrees to accept €50 and I leave hungry and annoyed !
I think €50 was more than fair for 3 starters, 3 bottles of beer, 2 glasses of wine and 2 cokes.
Our night was completely ruined and the managers attitude was appalling. Excuse after excuse and not once did she apologise for the terrible service!

Came here tonight with my girlfriend to taste some Japanese food. Where do I even begin with this place. First thing there's no one Japanese working in this restaurant. It's all rude arrogant Chinese people who have no manners and don't know how to treat customers. The place has no organization and staff's grasp of English is brutal. We reserved a table for 7:45 pm we arrive at 7.35 pm and told to wait we didn't get a table till 8.05 we literally got the menus and had literally only been sitting down for 1 minute. When this rude arrogant service staff said order now. She was a pig. There was a family who arrived at the same time as us but had gotten seated 10 minutes before us. 40 minutes later they didn't even get there food the husband and the wife got into a heated argument with the service staff which then got the manager involved who was shouting in the restaurant. They had the audacity to charge them for food they didn't even get served. To be honest the service is brutal here the staff's poor English with their poor manners is shocking. I guarantee you this restaurant is not going to be in business for another 2 years. I find it hard to believe that they get loyal returning customers when they treat everyone so bad..

I ordered food online the estamated delivery was 25/30 minutes the food arrived after 1 hour and 30 minutes
It was cold and was missing chopsticks that I requested.
I also asked for egg fried rice instead of regular rice.
When I called to complain and see what they could do the woman on the phone told me "its not out problem go complain to uber" and about the rice " we don't do that go read the menu."
No sorry. Nothing just rude attitude.
You want to be called a restaurant but your service Is barely good enough for a cheap street kebab.
Learn some manners or change the job.

The guys has calling in louder voice bad world in the phone with no respect .i did tell him that delivery it’s not including rice I can’t change to fried rice if you didn’t order fried as extra if didn’t trust. Then I told him to look at menu . he told me he saw the Uber map shows driver goes everywhere didn’t delivery food straight away for him. I have been told him about driver issues please talk to Uber we don’t hold driver . Uber doing delivery service they could help you if it’s driver issue. If you want to have respect please respect yourself don’t have any nude words

Worst customer experience of my life In his restaurant tonight . Paid over 80 euro for my delivery which didn’t turn up and they shouted at me when I notified them of same . It was on Uber Eats platform which I tried for first time as I order regularly from this restaurant on another service I drove in to try find the delivery rider and then decided to go to restaurant in case the food was dropped back there . Outrageous attitude by restaurant and washed their hands of the matter as it was Ubers problem not theirs !! They don’t seem to consider Uber eats as selling to their customers on the UBer platform !! Never again . Shame because we’ve always had a reasonable experience up to now . Guess customers are plentiful , hope it lasts . 80 euro down no food , hungry and pissed off 😠 I even offered to pay again and they could refund me when and if Uber paid them . Absolutely no chance even though I explained I was a regular . This lady just didn’t care . What a massive disappointment and what a horrible attitude from the lady who runs this restaurant .

Any customer order in UberEATS. We can’t access it because only Uber had all GPS follow riders . Uber will help the order . I have advised him .you could talk to Uber support. He didn’t want. I check with Uber support. Uber customer service said he already claimed his refund on customer service.He wants us to do one more time of food . But we did already service the food . He could not do second time again. He told me I will call Garda . We told him yes you could.then he call Garda come to restaurant . Garda sent him back home

Food here is good and service is sometimes polite and sometimes just adequate; efficient but quite formal,lacking any warmth or genuine interaction but up until recently would have said this place is well worth a visit. So in the past few weeks had a situation where I made a very valid complaint about their customer service which could have been very easily resolved but they were very unhelpful, unyielding, uncompromising and very defensive in their response - looking at other reviews here it appears to be the norm with them - seems that all is ok until you complain and then the barriers go up and they will make you feel like you the customer is at fault and they have a total unwillingness to accept that they might make a mistake which coupled with their unbelievably highhanded attitude is both upsetting and almost laughable in its ignorance..Suffice to say I will never return to this restaurant and after telling other people about my experience and how shocked they were I know they will not return either. All I can say is their lack of customer service and shortsightedness has lost them quite a few regular customers. Btw, the one rating for customer service is only because I cant give a zero.

I ordered this for takeaway. So I can understand why it was cold when I received the order. But here is a quick breakdown of the order by item.
Hickory Ribs €8.90 . 2 ribs for this price with minimum sauce.
Chicken Katsu Curry Don €16.50 Average, Cold and tasteless. Came with miso soup which was ok.
Egg Fried Rice €5.50 . Best part of the meal.
Teppen Beef Teriyaki €16.90. Package broke enroute and leaked all over the bag. The only hot part of the meal and it nearly scalded my hands as it covered everything else in the bag. The beef was tasty and portion was alright.
Seafood Tempura €15.90 . They must have went to the frozen section Iceland for these. Tasteless and cold .
Overall very poor. Not a place I will order from again. Hopefully they learn from negative reviews.
The overall price was a joke for what was actually ordered.
Was delivered from Uber eats so some of the issues might not be related to the restaurant directly. But using that company to deliver the food you’re putting your name to it.

A nice lovely sushi bar slash restaurant. Great service, absolutely marvelous authentic sushi and Tonkatsu ramen. I brought my nephew there to introduce him to sushi and asked waitress to recommend the set that would cover the most options and offer different flavors. She completely understood and was extremely helpful in her recondition. Long story short: this was a great experience. Highly recommended!

Fabulous food and service in a relaxed setting. The restaurant is small and we had not booked but were made to feel more than welcome while we waited on a table. The food was beyond our expectations. The sushi was delicious. We will certainly be back.

I've visited your restaurant today at around 4 o'clock. Not too many customers inside. it was only two of us but had something very important to talk about so asked one of the waiters to be seated in the corner at the table for four people. she refused us saying it's 4 seats table. No reservation on it anyway. We didn't want to disturb the others and didn't want seat too close.
Enventually she said if more than two people want this table we have to move, despite there were another tables for more than two people not taken.
When she came to us, she threw menus at us. Not to mention her facial expressions.
We've decided to leave Taikichi

As customer you could complaint about anything
If you are not happy enough. But when you turn Back restaurant around 5 pm . Throw chopsticks and cup on the floor and shout the staff who serve you . It did looked extremely scared
Any complaint we could take. We also need give a chance to service person to explain what’s happening? If she did wrong she could apologize
But we don’t except throw chopsticks and cup extremely shout to her . Until I told him camera was recording everything what you did. If you don’t stop I’m going to call Garda. He is gone . Please make complaints to right way

when ordering for delivery
Terijaki beef used to come with a side of rise and miso soup and that's gone too.
Maybe it's time to consider other places like saruka. Herd that's nice

I tried ordering from here on Uber eats only to have them call me, tell me they’re out of all the ingredients for my rolls (I ordered a tuna roll and a tempura roll, extremely basic rolls). They then told me that they would only make me a rainbow roll (which has tuna and shrimp tempura, the two ingredients they claimed to not have). She then told me that she couldn’t even make me that roll because I took too long to decide if I wanted it or not and that there was no chef to make it for me when there apparently was only 2 minutes prior. It’s worth mentioning that the restaurant was still supposed to be open for another 40 minutes. I wouldn’t be making this review if this was the first time this happened but sadly it’s happened before. The way they treat customers who are just trying to enjoy their food is horrendous. I was polite to the person on the phone so to be treated so rudely was just confusing and astonishing.

We are close at 10:00 pm the order was coming in 10:05 but I still in restaurant. I ask her I could make what was order but I have rainbow if you like me to send to you. If you don’t want rainbow it’s fine kitchen was closed I couldn’t make any other order I have to cancel this order. She was keeping talk 5 minutes. why you have rainbow you have other sushi . I told her at first this is my last roll . She don’t want to listen. Or try to understand. Keep ring back few times. She was really difficult

Unapologetic and rude customer service, I am shocked. To start, we booked a table for 4 and 5 and we given a squashed and cramped table of 9 in the corner, when we told them they told us it was too bad and they had other reservations. While waiting for additional guests, we were given dirty looks and grimaces. We were waiting 40 minutes before we were even looked at and taken care up. When my younger brother that was 8 with additional needs, attempted to ask the waitress questions he was met with a dirty look, when he asked again he was ignored, the final time the waitress said “will you just be quiet?” My friend also expressed her severe nut allergy and asked if she could get it removed from the dish and was met with an eye roll, and told there was no nuts in the dish, even though the dish clearly stated there was nuts. After this we simply couldn’t give them our service, and got up and left. After going back to get our cake we left behind, we expressed our disgust to the manager and she said “we’re so sorry” with a grin on her face. When we turned to leave and all the staff burst out laughing, we were mortified. Along with the clear ableism, I’m convinced there was a racial motivation behind the horrible service as majority of the table were people of colour.
