Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I’ve visited before and had a lovely lunch . Unfortunately I cannot say that this time . I ordered a steak sandwich. I cannot see how that go wrong ? The seasoning was awful. I asked the lady what it was she said it was...salt and pepper?sorry I have no idea? When I told her I couldn’t eat it she said nothing . Sorry I will not be going again and that’s a shame!More

Very disappointed with the service we recieved last night at this restaurant. Prior to arriving we had booked a table for 6 people. When we arrived the restaurant was quiet, there was a couple seated who already had there food. We were seated and our...order was taken. We were seated about 10 minutes when more people started to arrive into the restaurant one of which was another group of 6 people. We had noticed after around 40 minutes of still waiting for our food other people who had arrived after us had got there food which we didn't mind as we thought we were a group of 6 and thought they wanted to bring all our food out together. It was when they started to bring out food to the other group of 6 who had arrived around 10, 15 minutes after we did, that we were all very disappointed. We approached staff members who said it would be another 5 minutes before we would get our food. We were appalled at this service. We will not be returning to this restaurantMore

Though we have lived in the area for quite a while it was our first time going for dinner at Reardons, the meal was perfect and the staff very attentive. The portions were generous, we didn’t have space for a desert, hopefully next time. A...real surprise to find such a gem virtually on our doorstep. Definitely worth a visit.More

If hungry after visiting Lough Gur archaeological site, this is a great place to visit. Family run with good selection on the menu, the Caesar Salad was exceptional. Situated on the R514 it is about 3 miles north of Bruff.

I had been looking forward to visiting this restaurant for so long. We visited to celebrate a birthday. We were a party of 6 adults. We had starters and main courses. Starters were soup (very nice), spring rolls (burnt underneath), chicken wings (barely cooked), 2...x ribs (reheated in microwave, scalding hot and stuck to the plates), and breaded onions (very nice). Mains were lamb shank (really very good), 2 x burgers (very good), 2 x rib steak (pepper sauce was very watery, a balsamic glaze on the plate which was horrible and not on menu), and a lasagne... the first time this came out to the table it was so burnt and hard that the diner couldn't cut through it. It was beyond my belief that we could be served something so inedible. As service was non existent, we had to wait 10 mins for someone to take it back. A new lasagne came out, completely inedible once again. We had to ask for cutlery during our meal, again a wait after our dinner was served. The restaurant manager passed by on her way to the kitchen and asked how was our meal. I mentioned the good parts but her response to the bad parts was highly unprofessional. The menu mentioned homemade fries in the meals, when I said we got frozen chips she said its because of inspections! When I said balsamic glaze was on the steak but not on menu, she said it goes on everything, and when I mentioned the lasagne, she said if that happens to you, you should order something else!! And with that, she walked off, and did not return. We did not have dessert or coffee. We did have 2 x Guinness, 2 x cokes, 2 x jugs Miwadi. The bill was 195 euro. We were charged for the lasagne. The restaurant manager was not there when I paid the bill. There was only one table occupied as we were leaving, it's no surprise. Some of our meal was very good but a lot of it was substandard.More

Came in after driving for 2 hours, to have a pint and was welcomed with open arms by the locals. We spent the night having the best laugh - definitely a highlight of our trip.

My adult son and myself had dinner here this evening, we’ve eaten here a few times this year as a family and always enjoyed it, food is fabulous, staff are super and the ambience is lovely. We were greeted by the beautiful Arlene (I asked...her what her name was) and we both ordered roast beef, she remembered that my son didn’t take veg only mash and she also asked him if he’d like his meat to be cut up in the kitchen, this blew me away, my son had mild cerebral palsy and as a result has limited use of one of his hands so he can’t cut his meat himself, this is a source of embarrassment for him and Arlene obviously noticed this. We enjoyed our meal as always and can’t wait to go back there. I’m just so impressed and grateful for the lovely gesture.More

Today 27/09/2021, 12 of us had lunch in Reardons Bar and all agreed that it was excellent. We were socially distanced and 4 of us sat my table and our meals were mouthwateringly delicious. 3 of us had Turkey and ham and 1 had the...salmon dish, beautifully presented and wonderfully served by Eileen and Gemma. Many thanks Ladies for an excellent meal, ambience and safety at its best.More

I have attended this bar and restaurant on numerous occasions since February 2020. The staff are nice and the food is better than anywhere I have eaten in the country. The restaurant is a credit to the people running it. You get everything you pay...for here. Some people might complain about the size of the restaurant but staff are taking all the precautions necessary during these times. I think I'll head there now if I can get booked in!!!More

The food is absolutely delicious. As a local I was shocked to find such a gem in the area. Ive been telling people that it's the best cod and chips that I've ever had. Maybe I'm a little biased but the chefs certainly prepare their...food with a great deal of skill and care.More
