Best in Limerick - by far

With my family , have been breakfasting and lunching here for many years, at weekends. Undoubtedly the best in Linerick, for both. Noel runs a fantastic business and his staff are wonderful. A highlight for my grandchildren, when they come on visits, especially at Christmas.

Disappointed breakfast

Very disappointed with vegetarian breakfast .a few bits of mushrooms. 6 chips and beans. Toast and brown bread. No hash brown or no fried potato even though it was listed on the menu. Got nothing extra instead of the egg. My husband had the Jumbo breakfast and he received only I rasher. The last time he got 2 rashers. The staff are lovely and helpful but sadly we won't be returning.

Saw the few good reviews and took a large group in for breakfast and a couple of pints ahead of the Munster game. Staff were very accommodating and great breakfast.

Great food. Bangers and mash, beef, and then a chicken gravy on a bun, vegetable soup. All very good. Great introduction to Irish food on our first visit to Ireland.

Fantastic home style food

My hubby, father in law and I recently had a bit of lunch at The Horse and Hound Bar in Limerick. We where seated by a lovely dark haired lady who moved a chair out of the way for my father in laws rollavator and was really kind and friendly. A young chap gave us a menu and took our drinks orders promptly. The menu was a daily one and the list was extensive and filled with traditional irish dishes as well as more modern ones. I opted for the chicken goujons which came with a delicious salad and chips. My hubby and FIL both had the bacon and cabbage. The food was great and we'll be back again on our next trip back home to Limerick.
