We were extremely happy and pleased with the food and service. both my brother and our wives and myself were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversaries with a trip to Ireland. We were welcomed and assured that if we would allow the owner to select the...items we would have a great meal. We told him we wanted seafood and he took it from there. The grilled fish, fried potatoes and salad were best we have ever had. He selected a wine that was both excellent and reasonable. Highly recommend you visit and let Mortell and his wife serve you one of the best meals you will have in Ireland. Denis LeeMore

We tried to have lunch there but it was really busy so we went up for dinner. The owner is amazing. He cooked us dinner and we actually just sat and talked to him for hours! The food was delicious and fresh! The dessert was...divine! We were actually sad that the night came to an end! Please take the time to go here and just enjoy the experience!!! If we are ever back in Ireland we will definitely go there again!More

We stopped here on a Friday for lunch before visiting King John’s Castle. We were greeted by the cheerful staff and the owners, Brian and Maggie, and were quickly made to feel at home. Brian took our food orders, and we were delighted by the...preparation and flavor. Clearly a place visited by locals in the know, and well worth it to visit for meals while in Limerick!More

Had breakfast here during a business trip to Limerick. Met the owners who are lovely and great conversationalist. Even let me try some of their homemade bread. Breakfast was a proper traditional breakfast, great start to my day.

Our guilty secret is revealed! We had booked an afternoon of pampering in spa at The Savoy, but we rang and cancelled citing illness. Instead we were nestled in Mortells, with the Chef at our table discussing life, good food and restaurant etiquette. The fish...was good, the craic was mighty and we WILL be back. p.s. we had our massages the following day!More
