Casual brunch yesterday, was out on a waiting list and didn’t mind one bit. Returned 40 mins later. Love everything about this new venue, pleasant well trained staff who are alert and on the ball. Food I taught was amazing we both had to Spitjacks Classic/ Eggs Benedict, cooked to perfection. Dining atmosphere was very pleasant also. Cannot wait to return, top class Service was unobtrusive and very helpful 👌👌 A must visit option for people who enjoy food

We had breakfast here a few times and could not fault it. Food was excellent value for money and the jewel in the crown were the staff especially Keely the main front of house person who was just so nice and helpful. this decided us to go back and try Spitjacks for dinner in the evening on a different occasion and from start to finish it was great. Super choice of dishes and drinks. Four of us had dinner here and it was quality again the Staff from Sarah the manager to Alberto who waited at our table were so welcoming and made us feel special. we would highly recommend you pay spitjacks a vist for breakfast lunch or dinner.

Just been for a meal to this restaurant, we arrived without having booked in advance and we where given a table no problem very quickly. This was a good start, which only continued on from there. Excellent staff and service was combined with a friendly Irish touch . We had the early bird menu which included a free glass of wine or beer. The decor and ambiance was second to none, classy but not pretentious. Even the male restroom was spotless and my wife was very impressed with the ladies restroom. Apparently a good restroom is sign of a good establishment. The food itself was of a very high standard with decent portions and very well presented . The staff where very attentive without being obtrusive and added to the overall experience. The premises are very central and close to the river . We stumbled across this restaurant, so glad we did. I would highly recommend The Spitjack, if happen to be in Limerick. Pay it a visit , don’t think you will be disappointed.

Just called here for the first time after passing many times to check it out, really well laid out even though because of covid I had to eat outdoors. Ordered a veggie breakfast which presented well, there was a little to much herb seasoning on the tomatoes and mushrooms which took from the flavour, roasted peppers and avocado was delicious. Small portion of toast which was disappointing as it's not a cheap breakfast €14 Coffee does not come with breakfast which I thought should have considering the cost, it came out in a small cup which quickly got cold. Would I come back, maybe if for nothing else to try their lunch menu and to try and support an industry that is suffering.

I've been here a several times and it's always such a pleasure having food here, the food is delicious, feels fancy and it's quite reasonable as well for the quality of the place. Perfect for all occasions as I've been for breakfast, brunch with friends and then dinner with family and a romantic dinner too with my boyfriend for his birthday. (Which the staff were super lovely about and sang him happy birthday and brought out a complimentary dessert!) All the times I have been there's one particular staff member who has really given an impressive service, is this supervisor there named Ronan, he's great to recommend dishes and super accommodating with everything and great to chat with, staff like this will keep me going back as it's lovely to be greeted and taken care of by a kind familiar face. Besides the great service, of course the food has to be mentioned, the pork belly in particular is to die for. There's plenty of taster options too, the rotisserie melted camembert board for two, was Reallllly tasty. And my favorite dessert would have to be the raspberry cheesecake, really yum. They're also very accommodating for people that are celiac/gluten intolerant, there's some lovely options there. All wonderful things to say about this place, this is my favorite restaurant for many reasons. Go check it out yourself, you won't regret it!!

What an absolute little treasure this is. The staff are friendly and efficient. The menu is very straight forward with many opinions for different dietary needs. A small but well selected wine/beer list. The wine is by the glass and the beer in 330ml bottles all reasonably priced. I select the rotisserie Caesar chicken ciabatta roll which was huge and came this French fries and salad. My daughter had the goats cheese salad. Both dishes were excellent, well presented and extremely tasty. I would highly recommend taking a trip down to find this place.

As somebody with limiting dietary requirements I'm used to not expecting much when I go out to eat, however I was very pleasantly surprised. Spitjack kitchen staff are obviously very knowledgeable about food and are able to adapt their menu to suit without compromising on taste. Hats off to the chef as they provide gluten and dairy free options and do not make you feel like an imposition. The front of house staff are friendly and very welcoming. I was lucky to try their food for lunch during the day and for dinner on another occasion. I would definitely recommend. Highly enjoyable with a lovely ambiance.

My friends and I have been to Spitjack a few times and have also ordered takeaways. The food is always fresh, the service is always good and it is really tasty and well priced. Their salads, burgers and sauces are unbelievable but I just have a number of friends who eat plant based and whenever I suggest Spitjack they will always go without any issue, in reality the only thing they can order is chips which isn't great. I really wish they would join other restaurants and add at least one plant based item so our groups can go here more.

It looks as though there is little to no training for waitresses despite the food being delicious. FOH ignored when one of us made an eye gesture for a previous request (where she had said she would check - check with whom? We still are unsure.) Only a small sip left in the bottle and wasn’t giving with the glass, I’m not sure how much use 10mL is within the fridge? Mains and dessert were delicious and would come visit again for these, however, major upskilling needed for those directly serving.

I have eaten here several times over recent months (between lockdowns) and our first post lockdown meal was here last week. I love the menu, it offers a great selection. The staff are very friendly and I think it is exceptionally well run in terms of covid restrictions; at no point do you feel too close to the other patrons etc. Its a great addition to Limerick. I have also eaten brunch here which was lovely.

Thank you so much to everyone at The Spitjack for such an amazing birthday experience, also thank you for my surprise birthday brownie and singing happy birthday to me, I was so surprised and for once speechless, you are all amazing. The food is absolutely fantastic, prepared and cooked by the most amazing team of chefs. Everything looked and tasted amazing, it was the best burger I ever had, even the side salad looked and tasted amazing. We had the chicken croquettes for our starter and they were delicious Thank you Aisling and all the front of house team, even in a busy restaurant we were made to feel like the only ones there, they made us feel really special and I can't thank them all enough. I would highly recommend The spitjack, excellent food and service, great value for money too. The restaurant looks amazing, loving the Christmas lights and all the decor, and for a very busy restaurant the atmosphere there is very relaxed and warm and comfortable. We also enjoyed watching the chefs through the open kitchen preparing and cooking our food, they all looked so happy and passionate about what they were doing. Thank you all so much, you will definitely see me again soon.

Had the Italian rotisserie porchetta for lunch. Chips were crisp and nicely seasoned. The porchetta was juicy. However, the pork crackiling was a bit overseasoned. I recommend ordering the creamy, butter mash to neutralise the over-saltiness of the crackling. Over all, it was a little above average for lunch service, and it might take a while for me to come back and try other items on their menu.

Went there on recommendation from friends and trip advisor, Festive menus already in operation despite its only mid November. This reduces the choice and seems to be a compulsory 2or 3 courses. Starter of fish cake was tasty with a nice salad, Ordered the duck what a disappointment two dry pieces of duck with a total of 5 potatoes. No visible veg on plate. Asked about and was offered a side of veg which was tasty . Charged 5 euro on the bill for this and when objected to no reduction made, This was overall a very mediocre experience and food far from high standard .Service was good and attentive but when eating out one expects a better standard of food This restaurant does not warrant being on such a high place on trip advisor list for Limerick

We actually first went in here by accident (were heading for a nearby place and just went to the wrong restaurant!), but the food was so great we returned again. We've had breakfast/brunch here twice, and both times the food has been superb. The coffee is fabulous too. The staff are all really helpful and friendly. The last time we were here I felt my eggs Benedict was cold. On bringing this to the attention of one of the staff, there were major apologies and it was replaced quickly by a hot dish. I would love to try this place for dinner. It is excellent and I can't wait to go back.

I don’t always leave a review but after our 3rd visit I felt this restaurant really needs an acknowledgment! The food is just amazing & flavoursome, the portions/value for money is more than reasonable. Staff are also worth a mention- very polite, friendly & attentive and the restaurant itself has a great atmosphere especially at night time -the city lights and cosy atmosphere. We travelled 50mins to get there & wouldn’t hesitate in doing so again! If in limerick definitely give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed!
