We asked our concierge at Bedford Townhouse to recommend an authentic Irish Pub with great traditional food and Irish music, and wow, does the Locke Bar deliver! Great live musicians and dancer, hearty Irish food! So much fun!

Great little pub right on the Abbey River. We had fish and chips and scalloped potatoes on the side. Don't skip the scalloped potatoes!! The music and dancing were wonderful. I sent videos to all my friends. An Irishman was at the table next to...us and started a conversation. When he found out we were from Texas he told us how much he would like to visit Texas - especially Nashville!! Not sure our explanation about Nashville being in Tennessee resonated, but we tried. We liked this pub so much we went back a second night, and the music and dancing were just as fabulous. Sent more video clips to friends.More
The food was good. The atmosphere was casual pubby. The muscians and dancer were alright. There is outdoor seating and the prices were fine. It is not, a do not miss.
Have breakfast at morning. I have my see food chowder with brown bread. So enjoyed. Thanks so much.was seething outside, enjoying river views.
Awesome place, you can opt to sit and eat or drink outside - its gorgeous on a sunny day!! Always super busy but food and service was always super good! I recommend this pub to anyone visiting limerick, the Irish tap dancing and live music...really adds a nice touch to the experienceMore
The traditional music at the 5pm show was fantastic, great singing, guitarist, flutist and dancer. They really knew their Irish music herotage.Food and whiskey were good also.
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at The Locke Bar. We went for dinner and drinks and were very thrilled with the Irish music and Irish dancer. The food was great, nice sized portions. The service for drinks was a bit slow, as the server didn't...come around too often. We bought a Locke Bar t-shirt, which is what the employees wear. We highly recommend going to The Locke Bar for dinner, drinks, Irish dancing, lively Irish atmosphere.More
We booked a reservation weeks in advance and the day of we were about 2 hours late for our original reservation, We gave them a call and they gladly pushed it back for us. If you are wanting a true Irish pub experience this is...the place! From the amazing food, great service(Sarah), talented musicians and Irish dancer our senses experienced it all.More
Great food and live Irish music and dancing which added to the charm! Definitely recommend this place
Booked the terrace for a BBQ for 15 work colleagues. The whole experience was negative. Terrace was being used by smokers as we started eating. BBQ consisted of a plate with sausage, burger, dry chicken, coleslaw and chips. Food way below average. Service minimal and...had to request cutlery. Drinks very slow to arrive despite a voucher system. Staff trying hard but clearly inexperienced. Might be OK for a pint but avoid eating here. Instead for a BBQ go to Bobbie Burns..More
The best fish and chips I have ever had! I eat a mostly vegan diet and don't normally eat fish anymore. However, I really wanted to have fish and chips in Ireland, so I ordered it here. I will probably never eat fish again unless...I go back to The Locke. Good service, and there was live music and a dancer. An enjoyable experience overall.More
Service was good, just tough seating…had butternut squash soup, it was ok, need to add some Sherry. Nothing special of a place.
Attended the Locke for a meal as a large group. The meal was wonderful. Excellent food variety and the price was reasonable. The service to the tables was really impressive. I am a huge fan of the venue and attend regularly but on this occasion...I was very disappointed with the staff behind the bar. There were many of them but they appeared disorganised and lacking oversight from senior staff. We waited too long to order drinks at the bar and when we finally received the attention of the barman ignored the females who were placing the order and kept trying to take our order from the male members of our group. Disappointing.More
Indoor and outdoor seating. Very accommodating to our larger group. Had the Gnocchi with mushroom sauce and it was outstanding. Stayed for the live music with an Irish Step Dancer (who provided brief lessons) and had the best time. Would definitely visit there again. Awesome...time!More
The bar is nice but its too crowded with late food service and it is difficult to communicate with staff as it is too crowded. overall good place to go alone
