We came for the oysters, and stayed for ale, fish cowder, a mean but simple ham and cheddar sandwich, and chicken mushroom pie. We went back for more oysters and live music and Irish dancing. The Locke is reputed to be a tourist place, and...in season I'm sure it is. But in October it was mostly professionals in suits. At night there were maybe too many hen parties, but with the traditional music they didn't seem to linger. Service morning and evening was efficient and friendly.More

Enjoyed lunch with friends yesterday at The Locke in Limerick. Although I had a cheeseburger with chips, which was delicious, I wish I would have ordered the seafood chowder that my friend’s had. It was teaming with fish and they all said it was lovely....I did have a wonderful sticky toffee pudding that was superb. Hope to go back again next time I’m here.More

Popped in on a family daytrip to Limerick. Its in next to the King John"s Castle. Wish we had stayed longer and had a meal. Really enjoyed the traditional music and Guiness. The three guys did a mixture of tunes, folk songs and Irish dancing....Lovely to see that they were all so young and keeping the traditions alive for tourists like us. They also serve Murphys if you want to experience the southern Irish brew. Its a cosy and fun place. The staff are friendly and the place is bussin' !! Music is from 5-9pm and it is definitely worth a stop.More

Stopped here for lunch on the way to Doolin. My friend and I shred the fish and chips as well as the steak and ale pie. The fish and chips were delicious and the steak and ale pie was the best I ever had. Loved...this place, it’s food, and the atmosphere. It’s right by the water and it’s a beautiful place for a laid back meal. Highly recommend if you’re in Limerick!More
