Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was an ideal place for us to enjoy a quiet get together . Our reservation was for a later time than I usually enjoy dinner, to facilitate my companion. So I wasn't expecting to eat much. But the food here can only be described...as a celebration on a plate. I enjoyed every bite of a two course meal. My companion and I relaxed and lingered, enjoying drinks thanks to the unobtrusive and very professional service. I will be returning.More

In Limerick for a few days swimming. Found The French Table courtesy of Trip Advisor . Very easy to make a telephone reservation and Killian and the team were very accommodating to us . The food is the real deal. The duck was enjoyed by...all . The deserts are genuinely French and tasty. Will visit again next time in LimerickMore

Terrific restaurant. Delicious food. It's a pity the restaurant was empty at midday Sunday. Come on Limerick. Get out and support your restaurants.

This is a lovely welcoming restaurant with excellent food. It's a nice go to for a relaxing meal and pleasant ambience especially early when it's quiet. It's good value for money as the quality and preparation is first class. Worth a visit. Staff are friendly...and efficient too.More

Our first visit here was okay, good food but bad service. The staff were not kind to us. We asked to move our table to a free spot (instead of sitting in the middle of the room) at a window, which we were refused as...it was “already reserved”. However, when an older couple were being seated next to us they also asked for this other table and the waiter wanted to sit them there but our server stopped him as we had just been refused the seats. Ageism and unfriendliness in general. My sister had a similar experience, having reserved a table with a note saying they wanted a window seat, the server tried to sit them elsewhere regardless. Ageism again. Our second visit here was simply bad. We have never experienced such incompetent and slow service. We waited 30 minutes before ordering, to make our order I had to grab the attention of the waiter myself. There was no cutlery on the table, I had to ask twice for it before I got a knife and fork. I also had to ask separately for spoons for the soup. The main course was not good, the meat in the stew was chewy. The dessert “La diplomate” was delicious, the starter of onion soup was good, but it is not worth the pain of dealing with the awful service.More

Had an unexpected stop-off in Limerick. Managed to get a booking at very short notice, not having any previous experience of knowledge of this restaurant. Wonderful welcome for the two of us with delightful front of House Deirdre who recommended our selections. Excellent food and...wine, great service and very reasonably priced. Will be making further trips to the cityMore

This is now a well known highly regarded restaurant - so make sure you book. Bottom line is the food is great, Can't say much more. We were here on a Saturday night - very busy, but the right kind of busy. All floor staff...were on top of their game with that combination of informality and professionalism that speaks to folks who know they have a great offering. Would like to go back..........now!More

One word: Wow. I had a starter and main. Both were absolutely divine. So flavoursome. When the starter arrived, I thought the presentation was a little boring, but one bite and my tastebuds were dancing. Planning my next trip already.
