Do not bring a wedding party to this establishment. Do not expect management and staff to treat your wedding party accordingly. Do not expect the table to be staged to suit the occasion. Particularly after thet AGREED to do it! But, bring your own flowers...and see them displayed in ICE BUCKETS!!!!!!!!!!More

We have visited this restaurant a good few times now for both lunch and dinner. We have always found the service to be very efficient, welcoming and friendly. The food is consistently excellent with a good choice and they have a great wine list. There...is also a lovely river view. We will be definitely returning.More

We had a most enjoyable evening at the French Table. We had the usual bread and hand made crisps to start followed by delicious starters, main courses and desserts. The salad de boeuf and the fish of the day in a prawn bisque were so...tasty. We finished up with French coffees and petit fours (petit fours on the house). There was a lovely atmosphere and the owner and staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this family run gem of a restaurant.More

I must admit I was sceptical. Most of the fishes I would have been familiar with all my life and my expectations were very high. But the French table did not disappoint. The salade de boeuf was delicious and rarely have i had beef in...Ireland that was so excellently seasoned. The soup a l’onion was equally classic and delicious. Where you often find onion soup that is very fatty with a large chunk of bread and way too much cheese this was perfect, delicately sweet, well presented and just as it should be. The boeuf bourguignon was as the classic should be. Initially I wanted more, but it was so filling and such a flavour explosion that it was more than enough. It was everything a boeuf bourguignon should be and a thousand times more. Chapeau! The mousse au chocolat was for dessert. It was equally magnificent and I’m a very harsh critic when it comes to desserts. An evening to be soon repeatedMore

Gorgeous bread and hand-made crisps to start. French onion soup was delicious. Wanted to take the whole soup pot home! The selection of fish of the day in a prawn bisque was heavenly with tasty potatoes and vegetables. Bread & butter pudding also divine. Friendly...and courteous service - what a joy to dine here!More

I Will BE BACK. We ate here after Munster match 23/01/22. Simple but exquisite food... My husband & friend had French ónion soup. Absolutely Deeelish. I was so sorry that I didn't order a starter & have this. I had the slow cooked lamb. OMG.......My taste buds were assaulted by an explosion of flavour. Others had beef bourguineon, grilled chicken & creme brulee. We can be hard to please. But this chef /owner delivered...... In tonnes. MerciMore

Had dinner at the French Table recently first time. Got a beautiful meal which we really enjoyed. Came out afterwards to see that our car was clamped. When I returned to the restaurant and enquired the restaurant owner informed me that I should have asked...for a notice to put on my car window. It was unfortunate that this wasn’t explained to us on arrival . Turned out to be a very expensive night!More

It’s always better to book if you can to be sure of having a table. It does depend on the size of the party also. If it’s for 2 people there should t be a problem on Sunday, however with the Christmas season approaching it... More
