I met some friends here for brunch and was impressed with the friendly and relaxed atmosphere, the quality and value of the food, and the overall experience. I would highly recommend this location. It’s the best spot in Kilkenny.
Not very friendly staff but not rude. Pricey for what you get. I got the chicken and bacon panini with chips and salad. Panini had very little fillings inside and was like a cheap one you get from a shop. Chips were basic oven chips...and the salad was a tomato, 2 bits of cucumber and some leaves with mustard on it… €11 for the food in total when it’s not even worth half of that. Just over priced for what it was.More
Adorable cafe, friendly staff. Lunch options were all delicious, it was hard to choose what to get. The veggie soup was absolutely amazing.
Suggested by our waitress at our hotel.Friendly, local, Excellent 1st Irish Breakfast in Ireland, large enough to share! Ordered 1 extra scrambled egg and toast order which turned out to be a perfect portion for each of us! Would definitely return! Free wifi!
Lovely restaurant located in city centre. Very nice staff, lovely menu and perfect for lunch. We were delighted to stumble upon it. All 6 of us were v happy. Pancakes for kids were v nice. Decent value.
Food was absolutely brilliant. The service and price was great but wow, such tastey food. Highly recommend this restaurant.
In short, this cafe was not as good as I hoped. The atmosphere was awkwardly quiet, not cozy, and the plastic guards for the kitchen were imposing. The staff was polite but not overly friendly. The food was good, no complaints on taste, but didn’t...feel worth the cost. Just generally “meh”. I’m bummed we chose to try this place (based on trip advisor reviews) rather than somewhere else.More
This is the place to have lunch in this town. Another thing get Their full Irish breakfast it is great . Also the restaurant is two levels. Lastly, the people who work here are very nice.

This place was super friendly! I came by to grab coffee and asked if they knew of any storage place. They directed me to the bus station per my request, but said I can leave my bags here. What service! After I explored this amazing...city, I returned to have lunch and it was delicious!! A simple gesture made my experience in Kilkenny all the more memorable. Thank you so much for being awesome!More
Thanks for your lovely review happy to help out delighted you got to enjoy our beautiful city and our restaurant hopefully you will come back some day for longer.
The soup of the day was amazing. It was butternut squash and sweet potato and warmed us up on a very cold day. The chicken wrap was delicious. A quaint place for a tasty lunch.
Very good selection of sandwiches, salads, soup and so much more. Very tasty gluten free bread for sandwiches. And the most amazing house made gluten free scone with cream and jam. Also thoroughly enjoyed the best hot Chai Tea Latte, ever!!! The service was exemplary....The restaurant is on 3 floors with the toilets on the top floor. (No idea if there are accessible facilities.) If you are in Kilkenny, be sure to visit The Fig Tree.More
Fantastic gluten free breakfast - full irish, gluten free sausages, and black pudding included Service excellent Restaurant spotless
A short walk from the Dromoland Castle was the Fig Tree Restaurant. It’s actually the golf course’s restaurant so dining there is very casual. The service was fine and the food was very good. The pasta dish rivaled any in Italy.
