Great Portuguese casual resto at a reasonable cost!

Great food and service without the high restaurant pricing. Chicken in mushroom and onion sauce was awesome with fresh fried chips was awesome and at a reasonable price. Looking for a fine dining experience , this is probably not for you. Looking for solid food with family friendly service - would be a regular.

Perfect for our family. Kids got chicken pidi pidi, squid, and steak with mushroom sauce. All 3 were winners and the kids want to come back! Really laid back atmosphere, off the beaten path, and reasonable prices.

Perfect Portuguese food

We love this place absolutely Gawjuss wish we lived closer. Bacalhau croquettes Chicken Piri Piri salad chips and of course Portuguese vinho and we got a takeaway to eat later that night. Lovely atmosphere very relaxed, staff are brilliant my favorite place to eat..😋

I just realized that there were no recent reviews for this restaurant. And the glowing reviews are 4 years old and older. Even if the water tastes bad, there is a problem. The chicken piri piri has no taste and is rather dry, despite what the waiter told me, a plate for 2 would have been more than enough. The server brings us entries that we have not ordered and then charges us for them. Really not great, we can find a lot better in Kilkenny.

This little gem of a restaurant serves great food at an affordable price, simple as that. It is an authentic Portuguese grill, so a range of pork, prawns and beef are available, but it is the peri peri chicken that steals the show. It's ideals for families, couples or anyone really who is looking tasty, honest and unpretentious food. The staff are really friendly and helpful. I make a point of getting lunch or dinner here every time I'm in kilkenny, it never disappoints.

I’ve been here on many occasions and have taken many of my friends. We all loved it. Food is great weather you chose meat or seafood. Portions are big and food is tasty. It’s great value for the money and I highly recommend it.

A cute and adorable surprise with amazing food in Kilkenny

What an incredible surprise for us when we came across with this adorable restaurant. The food is incredible and despite the fact that the owners had to adapt to the Irish palate, the Portuguese soul is still there and can be felt in every bite Not sure when we will return to Kilkenny, but this will be certainly a restaurant to repeat. Decor is simple with some points of colour. What a delightful meal we had here.. From the beautifully grilled chorizo to the charred baby back ribs and lamb chops.. Nothing overly spiced but just the right amount of salt and fat.. Finished off with the house dessert of the day which was a cream custard tart..

Not our first visit. We always enjoy the food here and the service is outstanding friendly and cosy. A little off the beaten track but certainly worth the effort to get to. One of our favourite places in Kilkenny. Highly recommended.

Great place ! Had Portuguese style prawns , so fresh and good ! Also had Portuguese style sandwich what was a new and pleasant experience for me . Staff great and very attentive . Highly recommended ! What a gem !
