I am glad I stopped here because the building is very interesting and historic, and my lunch here allowed me to try lamb for the first time. It was a little expensive for my student budget, but a worthwhile stop nonetheless.

One of the oldest pubs in Ireland, over 600 years old. Great stop for a pint and a wide range of menu options. A interesting mix of tourists and locals add to the fun atmosphere.

We ordered a range of menu items to share. We like almost all of them. The staff was very friendly and the ambiance was good.

We really enjoyed dinner upstairs with great live music at 6:30 (early enough for kids). Lots of character and history, and the food is very good too, especially the vol-au-vent.

The food was good, the menu pretty much standard but done well. What is interesting is the background and age of the place

We came here to eat based on Rick Steve's recommendation and we were not disappointed! Amy was our waitress and she was fantastic! So warm friendly and helpful! We loved all the food she suggested and the music was lovely! I highly recommend it!

We have eaten there dozens of times, Kytelers had the best fillet steak in kilkenny which was well priced. Unfortunately they no longer provide this option, the quality of the sauces and veg had also dropped.

We dropped into the Kyteler over the Easter bank holiday. We have socialised here a few times over the years and it's always lively. We had the kids with us on this occasion and we stopped off for some lunch. Fare was fairly basic pub...More

I agree. We went on a Saturday night in March and had no problem. However, during the summer months it may be very crowded.
