This morning my friend and I while walking the north Kerry way had a unique experience in Spa seafoods. We had walked a distance and we required refuelling and had planned a stop in a nearby establishment which abruptly told us they weren’t serving until...3pm. It was certainly our lucky day as we dropped into Spa Seafoods where we were met by a most helpful and kind gentleman who even though he didn’t have scones…but ge quickly substituted by offering us 2 slices of beautiful brown bread to go with fresh coffee. He was so kind and polite…..it costs nothing to be kind but it certainly left a warm feeling and now we are spreading the word…..Spa Seafouds have what it takes to give a real Cead Mile Failte Thank you so much. Failing again siulMore

Came here for takeaway while holidaying in nearby Banna and the food was extremely nice. Not being a lover of seafood myself I found it hard to find anything on the menu for myself beyone the burger but this was extremely nice. My wife had...the prawns and said they were some of the best she has ever had and the kids enjoyed the fish goujons as well. The deli has a great selection of fresh fish and other faire such as a good selection of wine. A lot of the fresh fish was sold out by the time we arrived in the evening (heard other customers being told) so its best to get here earlier if you are looking to get some. The location is beautiful also and the view from the picnic tables out the front is stunning. The weather was excellent when I arrived to pick up my takeaway so I was extremely jealous of the other patrons sitting down out door to dinner and wine : ). Only criticisms I have is the long wait time for the food to be prepared and also my wife ordered a side salad which never came. Would definitely return though.More

This restaurant, deli and takeaway is well worth a visit. A huge range of the very freshest seafood straight from the trawlers. Superb prepared deli meals ( the seafood vol au vents are delicious). In the evenings, an excellent takeaway service is offered using the...freshest ingredients. You'll be hard pressed to find a better takeaway in Ireland.More

Stopped for fish and chips as other two nearby restaurants were busy. Amazing fish and chips and crab claws. Lovely outdoor dining area and lots of people getting take away. Complete menu looked great. Only regret, first didn't stop here earlier, secondly drove there Tuesday...to find at present only open Wednesday to Sunday! Will certainly be making a bee line for this place when next in Kerry!!More

I’ve been there 3 times recently and only once was the food ready for collection at the agreed time. Today was the worst. When I collected the food, over 15 minutes late, I drove home only to find that my Thai Monkfish and Curry wasn’t...there. Instead I was given the vegetarian option. When I rang I was told they tried to ring me when they realised their mistake, only they took my phone number down incorrectly. This despite my repeating the number to them when I gave the order. They apologised but offered no solution. They didn’t even offer me the money I am due as the vegetarian option is €2 cheaper. Very annoyed by this. Though the curry was ok, I wasn’t looking for a vegetarian meal.More

We had a lovely takeaway meal from Spa Seafood on New Years Eve. Great service , very efficient. My Thai green prawn curry was absolutely delicious. Eddie went for the spice box and although he did enjoy it, he found it a dry sort of...meal ( as in no sauces) and was very jealous of my curry. Next time he will try something different.More

Ordered monkfish scampi and breaded plaice and asked for potato gratin instead of chips with the plaice. I was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I drove there and picked up my food on time and went home. Everything was boxed up as...requested. The monkfish was beautiful as was the plaice and both the chips and gratin were great. This takeaway is well worth visiting. Great food and value.More

Despite ringing ahead for dine-in dinner, Spa Seafoods neglected to mention that their restaurant is closed and has been closed since March 2020. Very unprofessional and rather disappointing. Would not recommend.

Crab claws are a must, steak was perfect and we couldn't decide between profitarolls or the brownie for desert so the lovely fenagh gave us a half and half. Would definitely recommend. Staff were professional and fenagh will be missed there

We were really looking forward to our meal in spa seafoods which turned out so disappointing, we had a starter which was very nice however having both ordered black sole at e30 each everything took a nose dive, it was the smallest portion of fish...I've ever seen served in any restaurant, to the point my husband needed more food when we left. Initially we weren't going to say anything but given the price we thought they should at least know this was not a satisfying meal, the manager then proceeded to tell us. The chef agreed the sole was small so they'd only charge e27 each, this was a further disappointment, our issue wasn't the price but the portion size so we offered to pay the full price lest they be down e6, then the manager returned with a half carafe of wine and gave us a bottle top, this completely baffled us as firstly we had a bottle of wine with our meal and secondly I can only imagine she thought we were that desperate that we were going to pour the carafe into our bottle and I Guess use the bottle lid to take our prize away with us! we duly left their token behind us. It had been a while since we had eaten at Spa seafoods and boy have things gone downhill, firstly in the past the manager Siobhan had her finger on the pulse and I believe would have managed the situation more effectively, shame overall as we simply love fish so my advice is prepare to have something else to eat before or after you visit this restaurant or stick with the Oyster Tavern across the road which has for many years consistently served good wholesome food without scrimping, cutting corners or trying to embarrassingly compensate for overpriced undersized portionsMore

This restaurant was quiet on the night we visited. We were a large group and the two wait staff on duty were very attentive. The seafood here is plentiful and fresh. Be careful not to get carried away ordering. Suggest you share a starter between 2...or if unable to agree, have a starter each and share a main course. Only one of our group managed to finish his main course. The side orders are great too.Especially the gratin potatoes. The views from the dining room(upstairs) are gorgeous.More
