Burger was OK, at least kids ate.. it but salmon teriyaki was so pathetic, tiny size and overcooked frozen vegetables was very poor... Had to go for a pizza as we were still hungry... We were tg ere a year ago and gave a place...another try as we live in the area... Won't be back...More
Following our fantastic visit to The Blennerville Windmill recently, we then had a great lunch at the Station House, just across the road. We also met the owner who was very welcoming and we had a great conversation. The food was delicious too 😃.
On the Road from Dingle, we stopped mid-afternoon for a pub lunch. Few others there, although there was constant traffic in the front door. Server was professional, friendly & encouraging. Beef lasagna was well done & presented. The fish & chips were just a tad...greasy but nothing that could not be enjoyed. Well worth the stop if you're either searching for the windmill, or passing through the village. The attendant TripAdvisor question, "Is this an Irish restaurant?" is amusing, since the full name is "Yan Li The Station House Restaurant", reflecting its sale within the past few years to Chinese owners...More
We stayed at the Blennerville Tides last week and were lucky to have the Station House Bar and Restaurant attached to the hotel. The food we had all week was really really good , service was extremely friendly and both the owners Finbar and Lee-Ann...were lovely, providing us with loads of info on the area and even driving us into town when we missed the bus ! If you are staying at the Tides you will not need to consider any other dining options as The Station House delivers fantastic food and serviceMore
A lovely place to visit with unique features of the the old rail house such as the ticket desk insidfe the restaurant - an authentic experience with lovely fresh hot food.
We stayed nearby and tried the Station House for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff so much so that we returned the same day and had dinner. I think that speaks for itself. Plenty of car parking spaces at the adjacent...public car park (free)More
Went for Sunday lunch. It was absolutely fabulous. Anna our waitress was so nice and the food and service was excellent.
When I walked into this quaint restaurant come bar I thought its an ideal tourist spot. You get the menus straight away and the orders well I was disappointed in the pricing for adult meals and the choice which was not there. The childrens menu...was fine only 6 euro. I picked up a Rack of Lamb which was 21euro kind of pricey well the meat was well done but not too tasty, the potatoes come in halves and they were tasty, you get the sauce on the side which is good and I dont know whether the side vegs was part of the meal or not. By the way side orders are 3.50 a pop. So it can all add up. My sister ordered an asian dish. Now we were waiting a long time. I mean the girls serving were quick when the orders come out but our meals were not. There were people being served that came in after us. Not looking good. Her dish anyway was not at all tasty so she was disappointed and my son 13 ordered Chicken Riscotto. Of course he did not realise it was going to be creamy rice so he could not finish it but I had side order of chips. Only got 2 fizzy drinks and the meal for 3 adult meals and 2 kids came to 77 euro. Boy I got a shock really for something a little too dear. Look if you dont mind the price go ahead but I wont be going back in a hurry there.More
After driving around Tralee looking for parking to then find lunch, we ended up stopping here which is 5 mins outside of the Tralee city. Great spot as parking right next to the hotel, and the pub is fairly quiet during lunch. Lunch specials hit...the spot, with quality and quantity far more than we needed! We needed a sleep after finishing lunch!More
We stopped in on a whim after a beach visit...glad we did. The food was excellent and the wine pours were generous. The bar was good and the facility was very clean and the staff was great. This is the kind of local pub we...loved to visit in Ireland. Parking is close and free...stop in!More
