Just can’t keep away ! Great ambiance ,Friday Lunchtime . Seafood chowder , soda bread, chips & Guinness on a dreary autumn day -heavenly .
Consistently excellent - the seafood chowder even better than previous visits . Lots of large pieces of fish and plenty of mussels ! Guinness also excellent ! Until next time …….
We went for the beef, served with rooster potatoes wrapped in foil with a sachet of butter. They were not tasty. There was a square of white cabbage maybe it was something else piled on the plate. It was not tasty and the vegetables seemed...boiled from frozen. The gravy was bitter. The wine was lovely. We were disappointed having spent 80 euro. The surroundings are lovely and comfortable and the waitresses were very pleasant. I could not fault them.More
Nice place to stay with friends for an evening. As the bar was full, our group of eight was set into at a large table in the restaurant. Nice food and drinks. Spent a good evening there!
Excellent experience . We ate twice there - lunch one day and dinner the next day . Good choice of food . Nicely presented and good quality . Staff were terrific and looked after us well.
Very busy as it’s a popular place but we were always found a table. Staff were very friendly. Food delicious. Especially the hot meat sandwiches. Everything made fresh. A great find.
Beautiful food and fast friendly service. Great choice on the menu. Lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended. Great pint of harp also.
Our New Year fix in the Pikeman bar . Very busy and good vibe . Probably the best seafood chowder ever , large chunks of fish and plenty of mussels . Excellent.
Went here today with my sister for a bite to eat. From the outset, we were made so welcome by the lovely staff there. Our order was taken quickly and arrived in no time at all. We both ordered the club sandwich and it was...so tasty…great value! Would certainly recommend as a meeting spot with lovely atmosphere, wonderful service and great food!! Thumbs up Grand Hotel!!👍👍👍More
Fabulous food, great atmosphere and super friendly staff. We intended to try other restaurants but after finding this gem ate here every night thereafter.
My family love the Grand Hotel and the Pikeman Bar . We can’t go to Tralee without a visit . It’s like being in a film about Irish life 100 years ago but yet modern and sophisticated as well . Chowder is always excellent with...a couple of pints of Guinness ( now Guinness 0.0 on tap,) Ecstasy!More
A resident of Tralee recommended the Grand Hotel restaurant as a place to go to for excellent food and service, he was absolutely right. We enjoyed our delicious meal and great service very much.
Very happy with our stay. Lovely food and friendly service-helpful staff and exceeded our expectations
First my sons sausages came out wit. 2 big long hairs on them so we had to change it. I got the korma and it was vile . The amount of cooking oil in it was insane. It was bland and just like eating raw...oil see the pics . Never ever again will I buy food here. My husband did like his mix grillMore
