Great atmosphere and friendly staff. It was a busy night, we were lucky enough to get a table next to the fireplace after 30 minutes. Had a few Guinness, not the best but also not the worst. The pizza was phenomenal, I highly recommend giving...that a shot 🍕More

I visited The Laurels yesterday and sat at the bar. The seats were uncomfortable and hard on the back. The only way to be anyway comfortable was to sit sideways on them. I ordered a pint of Guinness and had to wait 10 minutes for...it. I understand the bar may have been busy but the same thing happened with the second pint. I wont be back.More

the laurels is a traditional nice Irish bar & restaurant located on the corner of main street killarney, and we visit every time we are in killarney. this experience was however dampened by a dinner mix up which can happen in a busy place, but...it did spoil the night unfortunately not sure will we be rushing backMore

Great food and top class service. Had a fantastic meal here during the summer so couldn’t come back to Killarney without going here again and certainly wasn’t disappointed. Rid Eye steak is amazing!

Dinner on Thursday night. Potato Cake starter - the best meal I’ve had in so long - mushrooms and cream sauce were especially rich and delicious. Wish we got it as a main! My friend got the brie as a starter and loved it. Perfectly...cooked. Burger and Ravioli for main - both of which were large in portion. Staff welcoming and ambience friendly. Would definitely recommend!More

The service was decent, we went after a hike and they put us in the perfect spot to stash all our stuff without being cramped. It had good service and decent food.

Myself and my husband popped in here for some lunch. It wasn’t particularly busy but it took about 30 mins to get our lunch which was just a toasted sandwich. It arrived and looked promising however it was a total let down. The sandwich itself...was ok but it was served with chips that were not cooked and were still frozen in the middle! I would definitely not go back! If a simple order like this was so difficult I wouldn’t put much faith in ordering anything more exotic especially if it was actually busy!More

This was hands down the best dinner and the best service that we had our entire time in Ireland. Cieran was our waiter and he was attentive from the time we walked in the door. We all had the potato pancakes which were delicious!! The...strawberry margarita and the porn star martinis were excellent. Dessert topped it off - sherry trifle and the sticky toffee pudding. I so happy that we chose to dine here tonight.More

We are frequent visitors to Killarney and have always eaten in The Laurels. Would always have booked in advance so we would not be disappointed. However this time we were extremely disappointed. The menu has changed considerably and the choice is extremely limited. Ordered soup...and the potato cakes for starters now these were nice. When it came to the mains lamb shank and duck, soso disappointed. Both meals served with salad…..who ever heard of duck and lamb shank served with salad? I have to say it was very disappointing. There must be a change of chefs as this would in the past in our view been classed as a top class eatery. I have recommended this as a place to eat previously but Inot anymore We certainly will not be in a hurry back. On a positive note the staff in the bar and restaurant are so polite and friendly and lovely to see that Noeleen is still there and as friendly as always.More

I got the potato cakes and they were beautiful- when we walked in the waiter acknowledged us with a friendly face straight away even tho he was super busy and got us a table in a nice quiet corner as we had a baby with...us. My husband got the ravioli which was beautiful also. All in all 10/10More

It’s hard to manage a group of nearly 20, so expectations have to be tempered. We didn’t expect high class cuisine and certainly did not get it, but what we did receive was not at all bad. I had the fish and chips - the...fish was fresh and really well prepared. Others around us ordered the spinach ravioli, short ribs, and monkfish curry. One of the short ribs orders had more fat than meat it seemed - a quick word with the server, though, and an additional one arrived. Service was very friendly and attentive. No complaints whatsoever. Again this wasn’t our best meal but it was just fine. My husband enjoyed the football game on the big screen (he’s a big euro football fan!)More
