Wife had the boxty, which we had never heard of before. She liked it, but it was VERY filling. Skip the appetizer if you are going to order it. Food was not cheap. Not a huge menu, but adequate selection. Beautiful old world decor on the...More

The welcome at the Bricin was warm and, despite the restaurant being very busy, the service was friendly and professional. It's a novel approach through the woolly scarves and souvenir jumpers in the shop below, but worth the hunt. The food in SW Ireland was...More

We went to Bricin for dinner after LADIES DAY at the KILLARNEY RACECOURSE. For the uninitiated, LADIES DAY is the time for the Irish ladies to adorn themselves in the most elaborate hats, dresses, shoes, and parasols, all in matching, glowing colors and phantasmagorical shapes....More

Set above Bricín Shop, Bricín Restaurant and Boxty House is a well known name on the lips of many people. Opened in November 1991, its popularity is down to the fine food produced by Owner/Chef Paddy McGuire and by the warmth of welcome and hospitality shown front of house by Owner Johnny McGuire. Between them they have an exceptional product that has been 21 years plus in the making.
