We had the fish cakes and the lamb boxty - both were excellent. The service from start to finish was exceptional - we were very comfortable and made to feel welcome. I highly recommend!

This was recommended by our guide and we noted pretty good reviews. Turned out to have excellent food, nice atmosphere, very friendly staff and management, with moderate prices. We used their early specials menu. Three of us had their special boxty plate, a potato pancake...More

This restaurant is cosy and friendly. It is traditional old style Irish without being too cheesy. The bruschetta wasn’t a classic recipe but delicious anyway. Crab claws as a starter cooked to perfection. The speciality boxty is amazing - I had the chicken one. The...More

Sorry just seeing this now. Hope you haven't been. I would pull up their website and check the menu. I can't recall if there was a vegan boxty or not, sorry.

Set above Bricín Shop, Bricín Restaurant and Boxty House is a well known name on the lips of many people. Opened in November 1991, its popularity is down to the fine food produced by Owner/Chef Paddy McGuire and by the warmth of welcome and hospitality shown front of house by Owner Johnny McGuire. Between them they have an exceptional product that has been 21 years plus in the making.
