Left it too late to order takeout pizza from our local hotel so watching the clock, drove into Galway city from Barna, hoping something was open, passed Wooza, door open, still accepting orders, ordered two pies and waited, not too long, and got the most delicious piping hot crisp-based pizzas and some soft drinks, for very reasonable charge. Real friendly staff, great selection of pies and toppings. Saved my bacon.

Visited Wooza with a friend on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch/early tea and wow we were not disappointed. We were walk-in as we had no reservation and were given a table by the window overlooking the street which was perfect. There were some other diners also in the restaurant and everyone was seated adequately socially distanced. The 2 ladies on front of house were pleasant, friendly and attentive. We decided on 2 starters to share and a pizza for mains. We ordered bruschetta and garlic pizza bread and a spicy pizza with extra onion and a bottle of montepuluciano with water to wash it all down!! We were not disappointed with the food, it was really tasty with great flavour. There was a lovely relaxed friendly happy atmosphere which set the tone for our lunch here. There was a steady footfall of diners and also a steady takeaway trade, not surprisingly as the food is really tasty. All in all we spent a pleasant Sunday afternoon in this establishment, which I almost forgot to mention is very reasonably priced also, considering you're in the heart of Galway City...I would definitely revisit when next in town and would recommend as I don't think you'll be disappointed 🙂

Super service by Irene from start to finish. A very large order of 25 pizzas with perfect labelling and we received free dips, after dinner mints and napkins. All pizzas were delicious and hot. The hen party was thrilled!

I ordered two pizzas for delivery. One vegetarian and one Americana. It was a long day at the house, and I've had Pizza from here before; that have ranged from good to okay, but I took a chance and thought this would hit the spot. Wrong. After waiting an hour and ten minutes for delivery, they arrived in shocking condition—both a soggy inedible mess with toppings just thrown on. The Veggie, in particular, had a load of Rocket falling off the top. I had to throw the rest of it out. If you're paying thirty-two Euro's for two pizza's plus delivery, you'd expect a much higher standard than what I received. I emailed them directly afterwards complaining but got no response: Atrocious overpriced Pizzas plus terrible customer service. I'll go somewhere else the next time, thanks.

It is a lovely little Italian restaurant. The staff were so helpful and friendly. They prepared an off-menu gluten free vegetarian pasta dish for my girlfriend and were so kind and friendly about it. The food was delicious too. I would recommend anyone to go here 10/10

Nestled on a quiet street just off of shop street, a lovely find. Pizza and Pasta, what more could you want? Our server was absolutely delightful, she had brown curly hair. The food is reasonably priced and the quality is very fresh. A nice selection of wines also. Great for families, friends, and dates. Love the added touch of complimentary bottle openers and pens to remember our experience. My friends and I had a great night. Will be back!

We were lucky enough to stumble on this little gem at the beginning of July. We had a fantastic sharing plate crammed with tasty meats and cheese. The pizza was sublime! My husband had the calzone and I had a traditional wood fired pizza. We enjoyed the really good quality house wine, while we chatted to the owners. At this stage of lockdown its so refreshing to see a family business adhering to the rules while achieving this level of excellent food and service. Hats off to the team at Woozzawe will definitely be back! All the best from Tim and Jen in Wicklow

All our servers were new staff and foreign, so there was a slight issue with language. But they were lovely, and we chatted with each of them. We ordered bruschetta to start, to be followed by spaghetti bolognese and spaghetti with seafood. Unfortunately, they messed up our order a bit, we were tucking into our bruschetta which was phenomenally tasty, and our mains arrived when we were about 2 bites in! At this point they had already mucked up our drinks order, with my husband asking for a draft beer and they brought a bottle (easily resolved once the language difficulty was overcome) We just tucked in anyway as the damage was already done, but by the time I went back to my brushetta it was cold so not as tasty as it had been when hot. My husband said his food was excellent and my spaghetti with seafood was exceptional. One of our rather nice waiters was from Sicily and he chose a stunningly nice red wine for me to have with it. Our other waiter was from Brno in the Czech Republic and having been fortunate to be well-travelled we were able to chat with him about our experiences of the are. I'd reckon that once they have ironed out the training of these lads, and they are more used to our language, that they will be a real boon to the business, as they were both so relaxed and pleasant to deal with. And the food really was amazing. I'd go back in a shot. I've marked down on service a little due to the mistakes they made, but I am sure these will be resolved with training/experience

We stopped earlier in the day to book a table outside. When we arrived, a couple without a reservation was given the last table outside. Even when we made mention of our reservation for that table, we were only offered a table in the back of the restaurant. We were then ignored for 15 minutes. The food was really good. The food is the only reason for the 2-star review instead of 1-star. We ordered a starter to share, and then a pizza to share. We made specific mention that we wanted the starter early so the pizza didn’t get cold. All the food arrived at the same time and, with a very small table, we were required to put our wine and water glasses on the floor. The staff refused to take the large pizza away to give us more room to enjoy our meal. This business was only concerned with turning the tables as quickly as possible without regard to guest experience. Toward the end of the meal, I literally had to take my plate out of the busboy’s hands as I wasn’t finished eating yet. As I said, the food was very good. The service was some of the worst I’ve ever had. There are MANY pizza options in Galway. Give any of them a try before this place.

Where to start! The friendliness and service here was wonderful and my partner and I were made to feel extremely welcome by our waiting staff and the host, all of whom were warm and attentive. The pizzas themselves were absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. We would eat here again in a heartbeat!

The title says it all. We went to a traditional Irish pub to get some food, but had a horrible experience while trying to be seated. Mad, frustrated, and hungry we walk around the block and found Woozza. It was a bit crowded, but we were greeted by a lovely woman who said she could seat us if we had a few moments to wait. Less then 10 minutes later we were seated and given some water while we looked at the menu. The pizza is some of the best I have ever had. The dough is not too thick, the sauce is just the right balance, and the toppings offered are fresh and full of flavor. I will crave this pizza from across the ocean for years. The pasta dishes were just as fresh and delicious. It's a smaller restaurant, but the atmosphere is lovely. It did not seem loud or crowded even with every table filled. The wine list was good and the service was outstanding. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for amazing food while in Galway.

I often eat pizza at Woozza, because in my opinion it is the best pizza in Galway. This time, when the pizza was cooking it formed a bubble causing a hole in the pizza. The staff decided to cook another one as they felt it was unfair to give me one with the hole. This caused the pizza to be 10 minutes late (due to having to cook a whole new pizza) but as they felt bad for the delay they gave me the pizza with the hole for free! I have gone to Woozza many times and every time the pizza and staff have been exemplary and today was above and beyond. I cannot recommend them enough.

I had the prosciutto and fungi pizza. It was very good. I mistakenly asked for still water instead of tap water and got an expensive bottle of Italian water. There is only one size of pizza on the dinner menu, but you can ask for a takeaway box.

On a chilly day in Galway we were given a very warm welcome From the owner and his staff. The food was first class as was the service. We had dough ball and prosciutto and the mozzarella and spring onion pizza for starters and a variety of pizzas. All were excellent. We’ll be back in November on our next visit!
