Friendly staff was amazing throughout our experience. Gave us help choosing our selections. We ordered Vietnamese Rolls, which were chilled, fresh and delicious. My wife ordered Pad Thai and I ordered the green curry. All of the food was flavorful, and the portions were a little too large for us, but a great value. This restaurant is a must if you love Authentic Asian food. The friendly staff were fantastic. Thank you for a great experience.

We were a large group of 9, two families down visiting teenagers in Irish college. We thankfully had rung ahead about a table and were so glad we did as there were lots of disappointed people outside who couldn’t get a table. The food was just amazing and all of the various tastes in our group were catered for. We had a papa special, lots of sweet and sour, chicken noodles and Galway spice bag (special request from the Irish college girls) Every single meal was eaten and thoroughly enjoyed. We also had a few delicious cocktails, mango pina colada and a woo woo. Service was attentive and very friendly, with great humour. Took a while for main courses to arrive but they were worth waiting for and so fresh. Couldn’t believe the price when we paid, 9 adult meals, 2 sides 3 cocktails, 2 glasses of wine and 5 minerals for 191 euro or about 21 euro per head. Absolutely fabulous evening, can’t wait to go back!

This place is a gem. The quality, warm welcome, value and taste is the best in the city.
4 of us came here on a Saturday evening and from the moment we walked in, we knew we would love it. The aromas from the kitchen were amazing. We were met by the owner, and her amazing warm and welcoming personality set the tone.
We opened the menus and the variety of dishes available was unbelievable. Dishes from all over Asia. It took us so long to decide as we kept finding nicer and nicer sounding meals as we read them out to each other (like kids in a sweetshop) we couldn't decide.
We all picked different items for starter and mains, and had cocktails and beer. Their drinks menu is also very impressive.
I can not recommend here highly enough and will definitely be back next time we are in Galway City.

The food at Papa Rich was so tasty and flavorful! The staff were extremely nice and hilarious. The waitress that was serving us was constantly making us smile and laugh with her jokes. I would definitely go again. On top of that, the food is inexpensive and the restaurant is located in the heart of Galway. You cannot beat that. Try the Papa Supreme. You will not be disappointed.

This Papa Rich never disappoints. I have eaten here a few times and it always has me coming back for more. On my first restaurant venture since the COVID restrictions eased my cousin and I visited this place and I was so glad we did. The staff were friendly, as they were in 2019 when I last visited, and they had us seated in a matter of moments. Their friendly manner made us feel very welcome and relaxed. I ordered the Vietnamese Rolls and they were so fresh and palate tingling. I had the Thai Sweet and Sour Prawns for a main and again just unreal, fresh, tasty and filling. There was no delay in serving us and the restaurant was comfortable. We left the restaurant with out bellies full and a smile on our faces. I swear I was dreaming about the food that night.

My husband and I ate here recently and we both absolutely loved it. I have some dietary issues and can’t eat soya or dairy which often makes Asian dishes a no no. To say they were accommodating is an understatement. I so appreciated it as sometimes restaurants make me feel like I’m just being awkward when really I just don’t want to be ill for the next 3/4 days. The flavours were so fresh and tasty. But the highlight was definitely the friendly staff. We will definitely be back when we’re in Galway again.

Whenever I come to visit family in Galway I always order from Papa Rich. The food is delicious, so tasty. I had their Thai Green Curry which was so aromatic, beautiful flavour and I also had Grandpa BBQ Ribs absolutely delicious

The stir fry was a joke. It was as if they got some puddle water and threw a few vegetables and prawns inside it. Would not recommend the stir-fry. I was incredibly disappointed as previous orders such as sweet and sour/ duck have been lovely. But it tarnished my opinion of the overall establishment and I would not return.

Papa Rich Woodquay is a lovely little restaurant. Authentic Asian food cooked to the highest standard, packed full of flavour! The dushes are tasty and great portions. The staff in Papa Rich are always so friendly and welcoming. Great spot, highly recommend!

Warm friendly service and delicious food.
Great surroundings reasonably priced potion sizes were quite something to behold.
I would be very surprised if anyone left here not totally satisfied.
We went as a family of 4 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the ambience and food .
The only disappointment was we couldn't manage to eat it all ..Trust me when I say that's not a negative comment as it was delicious.
Look forward to returning in the future

Hubbie, myself and our the kids stayed in Galway over the weekend and ate here last night. It was absolutely delicious and so reasonably priced. The bill for the five of us came in under €70 and that included drinks for everyone. Generous portions and soooo yummy. Really welcoming and friendly staff too. I wish I lived closer as I'd definitely be a regular! 100% recommend.

We were a large group of family and friends on the day after a wedding. We booked on the basis of s good prior experience as a couple and were a little worried about how they might cope with 20 plus people of varying ages. We need not have worried. We were well looked after and all tastes were accommodated. Many from Germany and UK as well as Ireland figured it was the best Asian food they’d had outside of Asia. And exceptional value plus great staff.

Love this restaurant but it has gone down hill in recent weeks. I love the salt and pepper but it seems to be in a hard thick stale batter now. Usually it is very light and flavoursome. Also lacking the salt and pepper taste that islt usually has. Chips have also changed for the worse unfortunately. I will hesitate to go back I'm afraid

Had a beautiful meal here last night. Food was so so tasty and service was excellent. We ate here before a few years back on another visit and standards have been kept very high. Highly recommend Papa Rich in Woodquay
