What a gem this place is. Food was delicious and fresh. It has a lovely warm atmosphere. The service was amazing, young waitress so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. So delighted I visited this coffee shop. A greart start to the day.
Entered the Cafe around 4:55pm on 18.12.21.
The girl on the door welcomed me initially and a colleague of hers comes from the back and starts telling her that it's 5pm so you shouldn't take anyone in. Nevertheless she asked me to come and sit...down.
The staff at the counter starts speaking loudly that "has she ordered yet or not".
The same girl from the door came to take my order and said they are meant to close at 5 so she can only give me a coffee or a hot chocolate and absolutely no food.
Terribly disappointed and disgusted by the way I was being treated! .
The Cafe was filled with customers at that time. Even after letting me in the staff never changed the sign board "sorry we're closed" on their door.
I left and it was very very insulting.
Please work on your manners for treating customers. If you were closing then you should've said sorry were closed and never let me in the Cafe in the first place.More
Popped in for breakfast & were given the warmest of greetings by the staff. They took their time to have a proper conversation with us about our trip. Food was absolutely delicious & presented beautifully. 10/10 all round amazing wee cafe for breakfast will definitely...be back!!More
Most amazing coffee shop I’ve ever been to!
The customer service was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Me and my friends were welcomed with open arms. 10/10 would recommend a visit to this spot if in Galway. I have no doubt I will be returning!
Esquires is easily the best cafe in Galway city. The menu has a great selection and the staff always greet with you with a smile. I have been there multiple times over the last couple of years and have never had anything to complain about....Very quick service! 11/10 would recommend to anyone. Close to the train station so handy to pop in to before leaving Galway!More
Visited for a Saturday full-Irish breakfast. Amazing and extremely warm staff. Great and fresh breakfast. And the Brownie Hot Chocolate was superb. Will definitely visit again the next time I’m in Galway.
Pro Tip: Be prepared if your visiting on a Saturday because you might...have to queue but it’ll be worth it.More
Called in whilst waiting for my bus, had a flat white & breakfast toasty absolutely delicious… From being greeted at the door by Colm I knew the service was going to be top class & I was not disappointed. Nothing was too much! Paid my...bill & mentioned the service & food being top class and the girl behind the till said they pride themselves in customer service. A credit to the community and they have gained a new regular!
Keep up the good work guys, best cafe in Galway by far.More
