I booked this restaurant for a group of 13 for a graduation meal. We asked for menus three times, before being provided with them 40 minutes later. Overall the whole meal took 3 hours and 20 minutes to complete. Staff were very stretched, restaurant very understaffed despite there being a full restaurant. Will not be returning.

At the lower end of Quay Street you can find this nicely decorated Restaurant. It provides enough room for groups as well as for single guests. The waiter helps to find the right dinner and adequate wine, he is multi-lingual, which might be helpful sometimes. I only had 6 oysters on a plate for 10 €, because I was appointed... More

Visited this restaurant with a group of business friends. Restaurant was nicely decorated and rustic tables and chairs really left a lasting impression for me. Fire was lighting do you got this homely feeling right from the start. Menu was very good with lots of selections and specials had a nice variety too.. loved the way the wine is served.... More

I came here for lunch with the biggest appetite ever, not having eaten for the whole day. Was seated at a table so big that I almost had to yell across it at my husband to make myself heard - not cool. Food itself took at least 45 minutes to arrive, which is way too long for a lunch service,... More

We had dinner there on Friday evening last. An excellent choice, good food and great service. I had the lamb and it was excellent. My partner had the steak and it was top class. We will be eating there soon again.

Been here a lot in the last year since I've been travelling to Galway regularly with work. It is definitely my favourite restaurant in Galway. Never too busy so you'll nearly always get a table right away. Great service. Friendly staff. Good value. I love the steak on the hot lava stone. I get it every time. I eat my... More

We popped into Gemelles for dinner while we were wandering around Galway in September. Our first impression was that the place was beautiful inside. They had a large table available for our party of 7 right away. They had a great two or three course menu. The price was great for the quality of the food. We ordered a variety... More

We first visited this restaurant 2 years ago & the food was excellent. Last year when we dined we were disappointed. But this year our meal was very poor. I like chowder but it was not full & creamy - it was so watered down it was unrecognizable as chowder. I know that we shall not be calling for something... More
