I visited this restaurant tonight with my husband and two good friends visiting from Canada, we had a really super meal. The restaurant is in a great spot overlooking the water and great views over Galway Bay. We started with exquisite scallops, followed by heavenly monkfish, our friends had the gnocchi which was equally good. The veg and sauces were... More

A local friend recommended this place, and she was absolutely right. It was a rainy cold afternoon, and the restaurant was packed even for a late lunch. And the food was fantastic, full of flavor and gorgeous.

This small and lovely restaurant was a great pick for our celebration. The food was lovely and well-prepared, the service was thoughtful, and the atmosphere was just right. It is not very big and I suppose it might be crowded in the summer, especially since it is right there near the river and the Spanish Arch.

Service was great with wonderful food! The only regret is that they don't serve hot soup for dinner... (Even in the freezing weather.) The monkfish was very good though with unique appetizers and desserts.

The food is good but the price quality ratio is not. I went there with 5 others Thursday night and had a lovely meal in a lovely environment but I was a bit taken aback with the bill... €75 a head. It was very nice though : Of note was the Halloumi starter and the Pork Belly starter...everyone happy. Then... More

My favorite place to go for brunch in Galway. The buttermilk pancakes are fantastic. Always busy and I understand why! 10/10

Hands down the best meal our group had on our short trip. Amazingly good quality food, wonderfully friendly and knowledgable staff, can't wait to go back!

Galway, Ireland, turned out to be a better food town than we imagined. Visiting just before St. Patrick's Day the whole historic district was tricked out in green and orange flags and cartoon leprechauns. But we feared not. Although burgers and fish-and-chips abound, we looked at enough menus to be convinced that Galwegians take their seafood very seriously. And Ard... More

My second visit to Ard Bia, had brunch here recently with a few friends. The place is always busy, but that shouldn't be an excuse for the staff to be rude. (Rude service is my absolute pet peeve - restaurant staff should ALWAYS be friendly, cheerful and happy to serve the customer). The staff here behave like waiting on tables... More
