Reliably good fish and chips. They just know what they're doing and get it right. Better than any other place in Galway. Salthill Fish & Chips doesn't try to be something it's not; unlike some other fish shops. This place keeps it simple and gets it consistently right!

Perfect quality but order two fish with your chips as it is so delicious, you'll want more! Perfect location - easy walk to take your meal to sit by the beach

I have eaten here several times in the past three years. Always good, so if there is a queue i suggest you wait. Service has always been efficient. On the last visit a large order for nine people was processed without fuss or error. the fish is very fresh and the is an option for gluten free batter for the... More

The fish here is both fresh and properly cooked. The chips can be on the bland side. The manner of the staff can be " off hand".. The prices are fair...But as a take away it's much improved .. Don't know how to improve the chips...

Great fresh cut chips and lovely crispy battered fish presented very well in box for ease of eating by the sea front. Fast service and value for money. Greasy but then fish and chips are deep fried treat food so it was worth the calories as a one off.

I got a takeaway here last night after hearing such rave reviews however I was left bitterly disappointed. The battered sausage was awful and reminded me of some cheap supermarket own brand. The fish was very very greasy so much so I've felt sick for the past 24 hours. Also at €11 it's a bit on the dear side for... More

On our first night in Salthill we went here, but found fish and battered sausages saturated in grease. So much so that one was up vomiting good part of the night and another couple complained of feeling unwell also. Chips tasted fine for some reason but very small portions. Certainly wouldn't return. It's a shame as looks very inviting and... More

Lovely place for breakfast or lunch in the heart of Salthill. The breakfast menu offers a lot of choice and flexibility, and the coffee is great! There is always a lovely fish and pasta dish for lunch, and a wide selection of take-away sandwiches, salads, and hot dishes. A huge addition to Salthill and Galway!
