Interesting Pub but too crowded when we were there. The Staff must be accustomed to these crowds, they were really putting out the Pints. I would like to go in at a less busy time.

We were able to sit in one of the enclosed booths and it felt like we were drinking in a museum of curiosities . Wonderfully pleasant women pulling Guinness and a great experience was had by all .

The oldest bar in Galway. Take a pint of beer, take a bite, talk with locals, watch a match on TV and have fun.

We did not eat here but stopped by 3 times to enjoy the atmosphere, live music and drinks. The music that evening was a group of musicians with a bluesy/ folksy sound. They were great musicians and it was an excellent evening out.

Such good ambience with a fantastic selection of drinks including a wide range of Irish gins and whiskies. Staff very friendly, so good.

I had a few pints here recently. Great Guinness, and great service. It's very cramped but quaint. A must for any visit to Galway.

Freshly arrived from Dublin and looking for a real pub we stopped there for a Guinness and really enjoyed, thanks to the old lad playing piano to entertain the crowd!

Unfortunately some nasty element at work in this bar ruins it for everyone. He is a unchivalrous, ignorant, rude misogynist with a bad attitude that is doing your business no favours. This is a bar I regularly frequent with friends or family but I won't...More
