Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a great bar located just off Eyre Square - staff are really efficient and friendly. There is a great outdoor area and plenty of seating. Great choice of food and drink. Had lunch and dinner here during our stay in Galway and would...highly recommend a visit.More

Simply great food, Guinness and Traditional Irish music from this authentic little gem of a place. A great place to start before heading down Quay Street

Excellent pub with opportunities to try traditional Irish food. A warm friendly welcome and there additionally is music in the evening with extra garden style space in a large conservatory at the back

Our food arrived at the table far too quickly!! Was my too tough, dry burger microwaved by any chance? Frozen chips and limp salad which appeared to have been dressed too soon. At €15.95 I was not impressed at all. My friends had the Irish...stew an said it was too watery and tastless. I would not reccommend and certainly wouldnt return.More

If you like trendy loud music and a ratio of 10 guys for every girl, this is your place. Super attractive beer garden appeals to the younger crowd. At 7:00 PM, there were a lot of inebriated people. Great place to check out, but, too...trendy and loud for our tastes.More

This was just across from Eyre Square Hotel where we were staying. Food was lovely, I had the Galway Bay fish fingers Blaa and my husband had the steak. We ate in the quirky Bundee Booth. The rest of the menu looked good too, would...definitely recommend.More

Can’t speak to the food but the band we saw was amazing. Started at 10pm and was still playing when we left at 12. Great music with a mix of (mostly) old school and more recent. Everyone was dancing. Such fun! But expensive 7euro for...a glass of wine 😤More

We were looking for a local pub to have a pint, but also get a good dinner. We really loved our food, and the service was great.

Arrived in Galway from 20° Spain to 4- with rain and biting wind. Found the Pucan and it had a welcoming atmosphere as in the Dylan song " Come in.She said I'll give you shelter from the storm. From the inviting menu I chose Galway...Lamb stew. Good choice. Warm, plenty of, good flavour , anti cold built in. Excellent Guinness with it soon had me relaxed and actually thinking," there are good things in life'. Very friendly, outgoing waitresses add to the enjoyment , and one charming Meryl Street looker, persuaded me to try the local apple tart and cream. I now have a favourite actress and waitress in my life. A very happy experience Than you Pucan. Keep doing what you are doing which is providing natural good food in warm natural atmosphere.More
