Five friends booked a table on sunday evening last. From the moment we stepped inside we were made feel welcome, the staff were on the ball. We all ordered something different from the menu and everything was fabulous from the ribs to the steak sandwich,...the chicken burger, the prawns and the loaded fries yum yum yum. Of course we had to polish it all off with delicious cocktails again we all had something different and again they were all fab. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel normal in these crazy times. It was a great nite out.More

Went to Sony Molloys quay st for food with four friends. Was told we would get a table in an hour. Two hours later we were still queuing. People came and from interaction with door staff they were let jump queue. It was very unfair...and greedy of Sony’s to keep people in a queue for over two hours. We were then told when we would get in we would be brought to a counter let have a drink and have to queue inside until a table became free. Very poor on their behalf. They should have being upfront from the start instead of wasting people s time and peeing people off. We are five business people in a Galway and will not be supporting this bar again the way we were treated. Other people in the he queue felt the same. The decent thing would have being to tell us at the start they could not accommodate us but being greedy they were hedging their bets in case their tables got quiet and we in the queue were led a Merry dance. Shame on ye guys.More

The food was so nice and reasonably priced. It was a really relaxed and comfortable vibe. And the blonde haired waitress who served us was really nice, friendly and helpful, especially considering it was her first day (7/12/20)

We randomly walked by the front door while out shopping and the menu outside enticed us in. We had two sandwiches mine had king prawns on a ciabatta roll with a tomatoe relish with lots of herbs and a huge green salad with pickled red...onion, it was yum! My partner had a chicken melt that came with coleslaw and a salad. It was excellent value for money, €8.95 and €7.95. We will definitely be back for a visit the next time we're in Galway. Definitely drop in if looking for a lovely lunch, there was seating outdoor and a big cocktail menu available.More

The doorman George sorted us out right away even though we didnt have a booking. He sat us outside then moved us next to a heater when we got cold. He moved us inside as soon as he got us a table. The waitstaff were...wonderful (didnt get their names) and made us feel amazing (shout out to Katie!) One hundred percent will come back again.More

We went to the door and asked if there was a table for us. We had not booked but it was only 4pm and there were lots of tables empty. The guy at the door said he was sorry but it was only for bookings...and regulars. We were very embarrassed as there were lots of seats but it looked like we were just unwelcome We have been to galway lots of times and this is the first negative thing we have ever experienced.More

The food is great here so it is always busy. It’s a big place so plenty of seating and on two floors. Even if there are no immediate seats available it’s a beautiful old building, has lots of nooks and crannies, and is worth... More
