The food was so tasty and the menu had something on it to please everyone in our group. Staff were very pleasant and engaging. Decor was so warm and welcoming with two big open fires and lots of comfortable seating. We had planned on leaving to have a drink elsewhere after our food but there was live music on and a great atmosphere, so we stayed and got chatting to some lively locals. Great night and will def be making a return trip again soon.

After being recommended and given a 10% discount from the caravan site. We called in for food so glad we booked a table as they were turning phone callers away. very good Covid precautions. Food was delivered in a timely manner all commented on how good it was. The portion that big the girls did not have sweets Which has to be a first. I have gone home but think my brother is going back in a few days.

Had the great pleasure to dine here this evening, felt very welcome and all covid safety checks were in place. Manager was kind and the staff were great everything was explained on our arrival as, how to exit the one way system, pay at your table, wear mask when using the toilet facilities. Food was good, my partner loved her salmon, I had fish and chips, only criticism over the fab evening was the fish was a a little soggy with oil..... would definitely recommend.

Only a second visit to Sheridan's despite living 500 yards up the road for 17+ years. It's one of those "instant" pubs where the decor is straight out of a shipping container. The menu is mainly standard pub grub albeit with the usual Irish practice of adding at least 2 extra items to every dish. The food was satisfactory; the service was a bit haphazard; the wine was poor and it's not the cheapest. There are better options in Salthill.

Thanks for your recent review of Tom Sheridan's. We're glad to hear you found the food satisfactory. We specialise in traditional pub grub, along with daily special and make use of quality, fresh, local produce for a selection of our dishes.
You mention the wine, we also suggest speaking to a manager if any aspect of your experience was not as expected.

Very good service, a short wait for a table and our COVID certs were carefully checked. Masks were worn by all staff and we had a nice table upstairs, tucked away from the circulation routes.
The food was freshly prepared, with a good choice of offers, and a wide range of drinks (including Guinness Zero, which I didn't know existed and is pretty good, by the way!).
Service was excellent, something which always adds extra enjoyment and makes for a memorable dinner.

I rang on Saturday evening to book a table for Sunday as we were visiting Galway to play a football match. The Gentleman who answered the phone was extremely friendly and accommodating when I requested a seat where the live football would be on view for us. When we arrived Sunday we had a perfect table waiting. We were greeted at the door immediately and brought to our table where we were given a run through the very professional social distancing guidelines of the premises. Our waitress and all other staff were really friendly and helpful, and made us feel like they were happy to have us dine there.The food was excellent and great value for money. A simple word from the barman to say he would hope to see us back soon goes a long way. Woud definitely recommend and hope to be able to visit again at some stage in the future. Thanks to all the team.

Had dinner here today and they have done a great job at re-designing for Covid. Massive outside area, covered from the sun, plenty of space, really good job. Good was also delicious, best place in Galway for chicken wings always. 😋 food was served in great time, staff were amazing checking on everyone and plenty there for anything you need. Only thing was the icecream 2 of us ordered was fully melted when we got it but in the weather we just dug in anyway.

My wife and I visited Sherdians this afternoon for lunch. We decided to sit outside with our dog (under full control) as another guest had two dogs on leashes, the outdoor area was obviously dog friendly. I had a firm grip on my dog's collar while my grandasughter was on her with his lead. As I approached the seating area another dog on a nearby table caused a disruption and spilled over his owners beer and caused a glass to break. However, while my dog was visibly under control a male member of staff continually admonioshed us for not having a lead, even though our dog was totally restrained by the collar while I waited a matter of seconds for the lead. We were clearly blamed for the others dogs behaviour despite full control over our dog. The member of staff refused to listen to what we wittnessed even though I assured him and he could see our dog was at my side and fully under my control. Her was arrogant and rude. Please listen to customers, behave equitably rather than rushing to judgement and be rational rather than rude. To that member of staff: you totally ruined a looked forward to outdoor lunch on the first really beautiful day this year. You should ponder on your behaviour and be ashamed of yourself to so irrationally spoil our day. Please also note that you have brought an end of the many family gatherings and meals we have had a Sherdians.

My Husband 2 daughter's & myself went on Sunday last for dinner, we didn't have a booking, we were there at 430pm . We were shown to a table on the 3rd floor.
It was lovely v, bright & spacious.
The waitress was very helpful .
We had a large chicken wings for sharing for starter..for mains we had a fish n chips , kids burger, steak & chicken supreme , all the food was gorgeous , came out quick enough , portion sizes were really good.
We didn't have desert.
We will definitely return .
Prices are comparable with everywhere.

My family went in for dinner, and it was poor, to say the least.
I hate posting negative reviews, but when you pay this amount of money, I expect something very good. It was recommended to us that we go there, and I was looking forward to it.
I got wings as a starter and asked for the blue cheese dressing, as I was given sour cream. I told the waitress, and she was gone for about 10 minutes. When she came back, it was the same sour cream.
The burgers and pizza were poor and well below standard.
The charge for miwadi was additional, and that is fine, but it was not stated anywhere or advised by the waitress as a cost, which suggests, in my opinion, that it was included. This should be stated on a menu if it is a cost being charged.
As I was paying the bill, I was asked how our meal was. I explained the shortcomings in our experience and our overall disappointment. She said she was sorry to hear that, but it did not feel sincere, so she continued to take the payment.
We had high hopes for a more satisfying dining experience, especially after getting a recommendation.

My friend and I had a delicious meal in Sheridans last week. The food and service were excellent. We had a goats cheese salad and steak with sides for dinner and fabulous wine that was recommended by the waitress. Highly recommend, hopefully we’ll be back soon.

Always loved this little place but how it has gone downhill in the last few weeks! Went for lunch race week and shocking bad beef served up.Tiny portions and 1 slice of beef full of fat. Disgraceful food. Wanted to have a family celebration for my daughters 30th birthday and after this meal no way.

Our family of 5 were lucky to get a table here on a busy Thursday evening. The place was cosy and warm as we got a lovely table beside the fire. We had a lovely young pleasant girl taking care of us. We had a variety of mains - kids had chicken burger, beef burger and the curry while adults had the hake and chicken supreme. Everything came out piping hot at the same time and tasted so nice. We shared two deserts which was cheesecake and a chocolate brownie between us. Will def return.

Having a family lunch while visiting our daughter in UG. While my three children enjoyed their meal, my wife's dinner was okay however my meal was terribly. I asked for my beef with a side green salad and roast veg, what I got was so poor. The beef was most likely boiled and not roasted, the veg were boil and possibly but highly unlikely ever roasted (not so nice taste) and the green salad - I can never why restaurants cannot just give you fresh leaf salad - this came with corn, onions etc!! Highly unlikely to return.

Our beef is served with creamed potatoes and steamed vegetables, we do not have roast vegetables available on our menu so we can only apologies if this was not communicated to you, the side salad we offer is a mixed salad, again, we are sorry if there was a miscommunication on this.

Amazing food and great pints coupled with absolutely unique and astoundingly Irish (in the best way) atmosphere. Service did seem to lean towards the slower side although our table was quite out of the way of general waiting routes with table service and it was a busy night so I did not mind at all. 9.7/10 I would recommend any couple to visit this venue!
