Having a family lunch while visiting our daughter in UG. While my three children enjoyed their meal, my wife's dinner was okay however my meal was terribly. I asked for my beef with a side green salad and roast veg, what I got was so...poor. The beef was most likely boiled and not roasted, the veg were boil and possibly but highly unlikely ever roasted (not so nice taste) and the green salad - I can never why restaurants cannot just give you fresh leaf salad - this came with corn, onions etc!! Highly unlikely to return.More
Atmosphere, staff SO professional and friendly: Food AMAZING 😋 I had the chicken curry..NEVER eaten one as delicious. I can't wait to return. Keep doing what Yee are doing and thank you for top marks experience. Staff exceptional 👏🫶
We arrived here to be met with a nice waitress which seen us to our table we had no booking..the place was warm and cosy.I had a chicken curry and my wife and daughter had your famous chowder..we were absolutely delighted with the food..and of...course the home fire was a bonus as it was a cold day..we certainly will be back and your waiting staff are brilliant..More
Our family of 5 were lucky to get a table here on a busy Thursday evening. The place was cosy and warm as we got a lovely table beside the fire. We had a lovely young pleasant girl taking care of us. We had a...variety of mains - kids had chicken burger, beef burger and the curry while adults had the hake and chicken supreme. Everything came out piping hot at the same time and tasted so nice. We shared two deserts which was cheesecake and a chocolate brownie between us. Will def return.More
Hi ChettaMG5608LT, Thank you for your positive review! We are so glad to hear your family enjoyed your meal, we will be sure to pass the feedback onto the team.
When for a quick bite with a family of three. The food was poor. Had chicken burger at €17 and worst I've had in recent memory. Chips are woeful, cheap, frozen, greasy and overcooked. Coleslaw had a very strange taste (left out for a long...time feel). Bun was not toasted, soggy and burger was bland. Kids' curry was okay, but rice swimming in sauce, soup like. A place for locals to drink, that's it. Food is very underwhelming. Mentioned the unedible chips when paying and was told 'sorry about that'. Can't say I'll be back.More
Hi Mike, We are very surprised to hear this as we always receive very positive feedback on our menu offerings. Our chips are cooked to order, our coleslaw has a spicy Cajun kick to it which may be a bit different to what you would...More
I dropped into Sheridans for Sunday lunch today. It was busy with tables reserved. There were 3 gentlemen in front of us waiting on a table. One of the men was elderly and clearly infirm on his feet as he was being linked by the...younger gentleman accompanying him. I couldn’t believe it when the waitress offered them a table upstairs…. Up 2 flights of stairs!! And then stood back and watched as the man attempted to climb the stairs. I’ve always enjoyed eating here but We didn’t stay for dinner after seeing this. Read your customers.More
Hi cathkel, Thank you for bringing this to your attention! We have had a discussion with the team regarding your review to ensure a similar situation does not happen again in the future. We would not want a one-off experience like this to tarnish our...More
Very average roast beef, lumpy mash and a sprinkling of vegetables. Apple crumble in its latest form, no pastry. Pushy about additional drinks. If you want to watch soccer, it’s not the venue as it’s all about rugby with full sound and only picture for...soccer.More
Hi Always_111, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, however, we are disappointed to hear that you did not enjoy your meal. Some of our dishes have been altered slightly to make them suitable for our customers with food allergies, not having pastry...More
Very noisy and quite expensive. But tasty food, look at menu before going, wasn’t many dishes that suited me. Nice staffMore

Food was nice, service good maybe a little rushed. No complaints did what it said on the tin .I would go back.
How many more weeks will it take for someone to fix the sound/speaker system ? Feel sorry for all of the bands/acts that have endured the speaker drop outs this past few months. No one in charge.
Hi Costal52007378644, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Management are looking into the issue and hope to have it rectified soon.
Always loved this little place but how it has gone downhill in the last few weeks! Went for lunch race week and shocking bad beef served up.Tiny portions and 1 slice of beef full of fat. Disgraceful food. Wanted to have a family celebration for...my daughters 30th birthday and after this meal no way.More
Hi Galway80, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We appreciate customer feedback, however, I must say we are very disappointed to hear you've had a negative experience. We work really hard to ensure we are providing the best quality food...More
My friend and I had a delicious meal in Sheridans last week. The food and service were excellent. We had a goats cheese salad and steak with sides for dinner and fabulous wine that was recommended by the waitress. Highly recommend, hopefully we’ll be back...soon.More
Have been a fairly regular visitor here over the last 10 years and food was always decent and reliable but I’ve been twice in 2023 and it was very disappointing. Undercooked chips. Rubbery chicken wings were inedible (they used to be very good; crispy on...outside and tender in middle)…chewy tough steak. The food here is just not the level it once was. It’s like the quality of the produce together with the care in preparation have slipped. Pity.More
Hi JimmyG77Galway, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to hear your recent visit has not met the standards of great food and service we are known for. We value all feedback, positive and negative as it allows...More
As a long time customer of Tom Sheridans, I really like this place BUT the drop in quality and increase in price of the food offerings these days have turned a corner for the worse. Pursuit of margin and lack of competition are the main...factors in this business losing the solid edge it once had.More
