Oslo bar is home to the Galway Bay Brewery. Last time we visited they granted us a tour of the brewery and answered questions and shared insights. The food is excellent and pairs brilliantly with the beer. Kids are welcome so bring the family!

Visited here late afternoon and only wanted a snack. Two of us decided to split the Mexican bean veggie burger. we got it on two separate plates. Which is rare! We also couldn’t decide which beer to drink and we were pleasantly surprised by the...More

Found by accident and could not have been happier. Great fish and chips. Some awesome beers. Friendly helpful staff and a great vibe. Great tunes playing and a vibrant energy.

Been to this place loads of times on my visits to Galway. I don't claim that the food is anything special, but it's OK.The one thing I absolutely disagree with is criticism of the staff and the welcome you get. For me it's been unfailingly...More

The Oslo opens at 12noon, at 11.57 my friend and I were waiting outside with buggy & small child. 2 women rocked up and pushed to the front of the people outside (a small crowd had gathered), it transpired they were the waitresses. One of...More

Just had breakfast here, could not be worse. From the waitress with attitude to the muck on the plate, its a place best avoided. What kind of moron cooks the smoked salmon...hire a chef or cook who doesn't think grease is a flavour please.

Had heard good things about this place but management need to do a lot of work to make me want to go back. 2 staff on a bank holiday Friday lunch time was lunacy and beyond infuriating. Kept calling the waitress and she acknowledged us...More

I reluctantly went back as my wife wanted to try. Awful from start to finish. We ordered drinks and food from the bar. Beata (name on the receipt) brought one drink ten minutes later and said the other wasn't available. I told her I might...More

This is a fantastic spot in Salt Hill. We happened upon this great beer hall. The house taps are not to be missed. Allen is a great and knowledgeable bar man who also brought us one of the best burgers around! Cheers! Jacqui and Peter...More

Description
The Oslo Bar in Salthill boasts the first and only Microbrewery in Galway which offers a great range of international beers, fresh food and a variety of novel evenings. With an ever changing menu the Oslo keeps people coming back to enjoy the many creative dishes inspiried by "in-season and fresh" ingredents. There is a wide range of international beers but while there you should try our own Bay Ale and Stormy Porter - brewed right on the premises. The front portion contains a comfortable range of eclectic furniture and the back part, set up with German beer garden style sturdy tables. The name Oslo itself comes from the Oslo Hotel which once encompassed the whole premises.Focused on food with a daily menu served from 12 until 10 daily. Select from a good range of interesting dishes. Enjoy the Weekend with brunch including Eggs Benedict and French toast which has fast become something of a Galway institution. An open fire and large comfortable smoking area tick a few more boxes making the Oslo a really great destination.
