A review for Foodies: This restaurant has been open for about a half a dozen years and I think they are just resting on their laurels. The biggest complaint we had was just the poor quality of the sea food. There was a head-on prawn in my seafood chowder that I almost gagged on, it was so rotten. There were... More

Myself & my partner have eaten dinner here on numerous occasions and are never disappointed.. the food is so tasty & the portions are pretty big! Definetly Value for Money. The prices here are a bit more than other Galway City restaurants but the seafood is so fresh & you really are paying for the experience. If you have any... More

We ate two dinners at Oscar's, and both were excellent. The first night the service was slow, but that's because the restaurant was very busy. the second night we came early, and got our drinks and meal more quickly. the food is really well prepared and delicious!

We were wise to have made a reservation ahead of time. Many people walked in while we were there and were not able to get a table. They offer a wide selection of fresh seafood and wines. We started with a half dozen native oysters, then had John Dory and mussels in leek sauce and also haddock in pesto sauce.... More

If you're in Galway and you like seafood this has to be the place to go. Both our starters and both our mains (four different dishes) were great, the wine was fine and sensibly priced, and the service was spot on throughout. And it was busy on a Wednesday evening so a lot of people must have the same view.... More

Wow, we were really impressed. For appetizers we got the fishcakes and the smoked salmon salad. both were wonderful. Then for entrées we ordered the Hake and the pan roasted Haddock with basil almond pesto. We were both very impressed with our meals, extremely fresh, delicious and unique. My wife also had two glasses of wine. The entire bill was... More

A lovely small fish restaurant (booking advised 2 weeks in advance!) with interesting mixes of fish and seafood in their dishes. The only slight problem is that a lot of their sauces have alcohol in them, so are no good if allergic to alcohol, but staff obliged and made a dish suitable for our party member with the allergy. Good... More

My last meal while on vacation in Ireland was at Oscars. The service was excellent and the meal fabulous. I enjoyed their fish cakes for an appetizer My main was one of the specials of the day, wild turbot and pollock with mussels in a white wine and wild leek sauce I savoured every bite. reservations would be recommended. I... More

All fish dishes are super. We had the sole and and a seafood special. Both were delicious and large portions. Do make a reservation. You may find yourself eating the best fish you ever had.( my husbands opion on his dish). We were not sure about the Tipping process and the Irish gals will surely take advantage of you with...
