Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A wonderful wine bar with fantastic service. Barry and his team are fantastic. Friendly and cheerful always, a visit to Trieste is always a treat. We even had them do our wedding cake (of cheese) and it was perfect. If you enjoy wine, cheese and...charcuterie, you should visit.More

Definalty worth a visit if in Galway, a cosy restaurant, with a wide variety of cheeses/meats. Freshly made breads served with delicious homemade pesto. The owner/manager, Barry, was fantastic, really welcoming and chatty. Will return for sure…

We loved this place small, intimate, and charming. Karen could not have been more engaging and helping us to find good Irish cheeses. A small venue that offers a true taste of the Irish experience. We had a lovely time and I would HIGHLY recommend...visiting here. It was our last night in Galway and I can not think of a better way to have spent our time. I wish this was down the street from my home, I would be a regular without a doubt. Do yourself a favor and visit this place at least once while in Galway.More

The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They gave us incredible recommendations for cheese and wine. The food itself was amazing but the service is what really made the whole experience incredible. Completely unpretentious and approachable which did surprise us given our experience in similiar...businesses.More

Absolute perfection from the reservation process to the surprise birthday candle at the end provided by Barry (the owner). He was so warm & welcoming the moment that we arrived (in fact he gave me a hug as I walked in, long story). He provided...us with good conversation while explaining their menus and what our experience would entail. The decor is cozy, warm & comfortable. There are not too many tables inside which is nice because that’s prevents the place from being loud (hence cozy). The menus/options are not short and described well by the owner. The wines, cheeses, meats, fruits, crackers, breads, butters, jams, sauces etc… we’re all fresh and delicious not to mention presented on a beautiful charcuterie (you want to take a pic of it). To finish we did select a dessert board in which Barry surprised our one guest with a lighted candle for her birthday. The desserts were insanely good as well. A fantastic couple of hours from start to finish and if you’re wondering if a charcuterie board can be a lunch or dinner the answer is definitely yes to both. This was our dinner that left us filled but not overly stuffed & bloated for the rest of our evening. I wish I lived in Galway so that we could go back again and again. Thanks Barry!More

Going to Trieste is always a treat of the highest order. Barry and Kate are incredibly kind and know how to make everyone feel special! I’ve been to Trieste plenty of times but the most recent time really made me feel like I needed to...leave a glowing review. My sister and brother in law were visiting from the States and they’re pregnant with their first child! So exciting, but also throws a pretty big wrench in the plans of wine and charcuterie boards! But, of course, when we asked if we could have a pregnancy safe selection for dinner (even including a mocktail) it was as decadent as always and my sister really got to feel like she was out on a proper night out! Trieste is *always* a 5 star experience!More
