I enjoy the treats as well as the attitude of the girls working there! Home made cakes and several types of tea!

I LOVE tea. I stopped-by with a friend. He and I enjoyed the tea and pastries. We first had to choose from a lengthy menu of tea. We had to be instructed by the staff how to brew the tea (they provide timers and different brewing methods). Then we had to determine which fresh-baked pastry we wanted. My friend chose... More

I understand that I went during a busy time. The space is crammed with tables, with very little room between tables. We had some poor service as well. I don't know how the food and drink was because it was so crowded, busy and bad service we left.

This little gem of a restaurant had tempted me the first time we traveled to Galway but I wasn't able to get there in time to enjoy it! The next time we were lucky enough to pass through I insisted that we have tea and cake in this delightful little spot. It has that old time feel of a ladies'... More

We loved our visit to An Cupan Tae. The staff were lovely and friendly and provided a great irish style service to everybody. The theme of the cafe was really quaint and we were fascinated with how it was decorated with cups and saucers - even the sink in the bathroom. Highly recommend a visit here if in Galway during... after having heard so many good things about Cùpan Tae I needed to try this place out. Well, it doesn't disappoint, you enter the small restaurant and you enter another time, another dimension. Dolls, porcelain dish sets, doilies, fancy chairs, and the music to go with it. It's lovely! Right in front of you is the Cake Display, your mouth... More

Called into Cupan Tae on Monday (20/02/17) to say it's over the top decoratively is an understatement but it makes no apologies for being as quirky as they come We decided to have the afternoon tea and it was treat. Lovely fresh sandwiches, with the crusts cut off, beautiful scones with cream, butter & proper Raspberry Jam and lovely little... More

I absolutely loved our visit to Cupan Tae! I felt like a little girl living out her tea party fantasy! DH and I stopped in for a cuppa and a scone while exploring Galway after reading all the amazing yelp reviews and boy were we not disappointed! It's so beautifully and daintily decorated, the service was kind and welcoming, and... More
