We celebrated our 36th anniversary here with a fabulous meal. We both had the special of the evening which was a chicken dish. I'm afraid a bit of time has passed before I'm writing this review and I can't do the food justice with this review. Take my word that the food and atmosphere were fabulous and the service great... We had a sunday brunch in this surprising pub, very cozy and particular, located in a corner of the city centre. You don't expect it to be that big, until you walk inside, but it has different floors and plenty of room for small and big groups! The interiors recalls an eclectic style which mixes period and gothic accents with some... More

We stopped here on a Saturday to have a quick bite to eat while shopping around the city. We got seated upstairs. On the menu If says sandwiches made to order so we asked for 2 chicken cheese and onion toasted sandwiches. We were then told that it was too busy to ask for our own sandwiches. Ok we accepted... I ordered a well done steak but out came medium rare, so I had to send it back in, my first time ever doing so, and await my original order. In that time, I received 3 apologies from 3 different waitresses, to which I replied thanks but it's not your fault really. They couldn't possibly have done more for me.... More

Everytime I was there, there was a live band playing and it added hugely to the atmosphere. I recommend it to all friends and guests of mine. Always stop there one a night out.

Had a very good dinner here. It was packed but the staff were friendly and efficient and despite being warned of a delay the food came quickly. Definitely worth a visit.

We had the fish chowder with brown bread and a pint of Guinness, and it was so good we made it a point to go back there again. The pub and bistro are separate but adjoining. The place is bigger than it looks from the outside. It's an old establishment with lots of charm and atmosphere. Locals go there as... More

tasty lunch sitting outside watching the world go by. The inside is large and warm but we wanted to watch what was going on outside. It was raining but we were under cover and the server put the heater on. Ham and cheese sandwich and mushrooms on toast were really nice
