First great location, nice food but I’ll stop there. Just remind yourself you are the customer and your bartender might actually remember that too. Plenty of choice in the west end of galway and this bar is one of many.

Absolutely love going to universal it has to be one of my favourite bars in Galway! Whether you're dining, or just having a couple of drinks Universal is definitely worth a visit. I had the black and white pudding and it was unbelievable 👌👌

had a really good night here with my wife. Amazing wanton soup, real tasty savory pancakes followed by steak and ratatouille!! we had lovely wine and good Guinness and stayed put for the night. great value too. Will be back very soon.

I've been here a number of times and each time the food has been of the highest quality. Personal favourites are the tigres mussels and the chumpsteak, all very reasonable. Great wine, beers and cocktails in comfortable surroundings. Highly recommended!
