We booked Caprice for 18 people for my daughters Holy Communion! We had tables reserved upstairs & everyone really loved the food & enjoyed the lovely ambiance! Everyone’s food arrived at the same time & the orders were perfect! We brought a fresh cream cake that was kept in the fridge & we all had that with tea/coffee after the lunch. We took our time there are weren’t rushed out or anything! It only cost us €300 for all 18 people having 2 Courses! I highly recommend this really for any couple or family or large party!

This place is an absolute gem! Went for dinner with friends on a friday night. They had a 3 course set menu with a gorgeous selection of options and SUCH a reasonable price for the quality of food we had. Beautifully cooked fish and deliciously juicy burgers were devoured. Staff were so friendly and attentive. Such a cosy, trendy vibe here off the beaten track. Highly recommend!!!

Went for lunch. It was a reasonably quiet day in Galway and after not being able to get into another cafe due to no free tables we went to Caprice. It was quiet which surprised, hadn’t been for years, the last times it had always been busy. Checking the menu it had in bold that each guest must purchase at least a main course. The breakfast had also in bold that it was served as is no changes possible. Understand that each business are free to operate as they please - just posting here to advise others of this. It felt overbearing so we left without eating so cannot comment on anything else.

This review is ridiculous. Unfair our full irish dish comes as is with no changes that is all. Nit the entire menu so this review is not correct. Trip advisor is for people who dine with us no passing comments on our business thank u

23/12/23. The worst experience and most ignorant woman I've ever come across. What was meant to be a Christmas family meal quickly turned into a surreal experience. After waiting 30 minutes for our order and coffees, we queried the delay, not a single apology or admission of fault. We had 2 small kids in toe so could not wait longer as was suggested! Initially told we could order a half portion of pancakes for 2 kids we ended up being charged 24e for 2 small kids pancakes and 2 childrens hot chocolates. When we queried the bill my wife was accused of looking for a free meal! The owner/manager could not be more rude. Safe to say we will not be returning. Stay away.

To see this the night before Christmas after I had to ask you to leave my business because you were so horrible to me is just unbelievable. It's not worth the time answering your rant above. Just let us know where you work so we can repay your behaviour.

I never normally leave review but felt so incensed by my experience, I had wanted to go there for some time as the food look great online. The breakfast was over cooked but I tolerated that, it was expensive and somewhat stingy. We were then asked to leave after an hour and 15mins as other people were waiting and we were not allowed to split the bill. I said I didn't want to do that and was given an explanation of how I could give my friend cash afterwards.(duh I never would have thought of that)like most people these days I don't carry cash. Once outside I saw a group all swapping money via the phone to sort out their bill that they couldn't split.

Dear J203Y Thank you for visiting us a pitty your review serms to be poor due to u not being allowed to split your bill. I'm afraid we simply allow 1 card per table I'm afraid that did not suit you. Our prices and menu are available to view outside. If these did not suit you there are a number of other options that might suit your budget and attitude better.

Whilst the food was good, REAL ham and eggs on sourdough( although I would have preferred the option of the sourdough toasted and separate with butter), and fried potato pieces, but alas no relish or sauce to accompany them. My issue is the orange juice. I ordered it, it was €3.50, it was from a carton. When I was paying mark at the till for my meal he asked was everything ok, probably more out of rote than actual concern. I told him € 3.50 for orange juice from a carton was not good and that I was disappointed. He said the juice is freshly squeezed "we just store it in a carton". I told him this is not so, I know the difference, but he just ignored me and cashed up my bill, which I paid.. I won't be back.

Hi there, Very sorry to read this review on your most recent visit. I myself did check your meal during your time with us and you said me you were enjoying. Orange juice was also finished at end of your brunch. It was Dylan you spoke to at the till. Our Orange Juice is made for us freshly squeezed and sent to us in 2ltr cartons for storage purposes. It is not fair of you to post that you know better but we must accept your point of view. You paid as you finished your meal and juice. Thank you for your feedback and hope you will return after the clarification. Best wishes.

Stopped by for Sunday brunch. While the atmosphere and decor was lovely and the food was average, it did not make up for the mess of a service we got. We were seated upstairs and waited for a solid 15-20 mins before someone came by (mind you, this was after the table next to us went downstairs to complain). Our table had no silverware, cups, or menus. Once the food arrived, it was not correct. I ordered fried eggs and got poached. I ordered a side of bacon and that never showed up. The Eggs Royale were tasty but my partners French Toast was bland and small compared to the prices. While the server was nice, she never came back to check on us or ask if we needed anything else. I would head elsewhere if looking for a lovely brunch spot.

My friends and I like to go out every week or so for a little brunch date, after a friend recommended caprice, we haven’t been able to go anywhere else! We keep coming back to wonderful food and even better service. Vicky is extremely helpful and very communicative, it’s clear that she cares deeply about the environment of the cafe and that reflects on both customers and servers. The food is impeccable, they have loads of options and they’re all high quality dishes and very reasonably priced. The servers are welcoming and friendly. We usually come in a big party (6-8 people) which is understandably hard to serve but they always do it with a smile. It’s definitely our to go brunch spot in Galway!

This spot is way overrated, the eggs Benedict was way overpriced and no flavour at all. Also had a very watery “peach ice tea” that just tasted like squash. So disappointed and was looking forward to it being so nice. I won’t come again.

Enjoyed a fabulous breakfast today. We ordered the granola with freshly baked warm scones and French toast with bacon and lovely cappuccinos. It was divine. I always order French toast for breakfast and have to say that Caprice is definitely the best in Galway for this dish. The staff were so attentive and the owner even greeted us and chatted with us at our table making the overall experience very positive. Will definitely be recommending to family and friends.

Tasty deliciousness ! Everybody at our table loved every bite. A variety of French toast and the full Irish were the dishes of choice. They were nicely proportioned and flavoursome. The Fresh orange juice was served perfectly chilled and fresh fresh fresh. Definitely worth a visit👍 well done and thanks. See you again soon.

Queued for approximately 30 minutes (before the Brunch cut off time of 1230) only to have a member of staff come out and disperse the queue of about 10+ people telling us that lunch service had finished. The menu implies that there is food served from 1230 (Light Bites) so being told to leave was incredibly strange. The whole experience smacks of poor management, there was no communication to the people that had spent a considerable amount of time queuing only to be told to leave. There wasn’t even an attempt to take the details of those in the queue to see if they could be seated at the next service.

We booked a group booking with Vicky, who kindly took a group of 30 of us. From the time I booked to the finish Vicky, John and their team were friendly, polite and over all fabulous. The food was beautiful, so tasty and the portions were very big and the cocktails were divine. I would recommend caprice to anyone looking for tasty wholesome food at a good price, classic cocktails and a very friendly warm welcome.

So disgusted. We had booked a table of 7 for a family celebration. Caprice confirmed the booking by email and a telephone call the day before. We arrived at the restaurant in the pouring rain to find the restaurant closed shutters down and no sign of life. We rang both numbers but eceived no reply. As we waited another couple arralso expecting their table which they booked. They were as shocked at us at the basic expectation that the restaurant would advise if there was a problem I honestly couldn't believe it- after a few minutes standing in the monsoonlike conditions we left and guarantee we'll never return

Dear Karina, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are deeply sorry for the frustration and disappointment you faced on what was meant to be a family celebration. We understand how upsetting it must have been to arrive in the rain, only to find the restaurant closed with no communication from our side. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we were forced to close unexpectedly. While we did attempt to notify guests, it is clear that our communication did not reach you, and we regret the impact this had on your plans. We fully understand your frustration, and we are truly sorry that we failed to meet even the most basic expectations of service. We are actively working to improve our communication systems to prevent this from happening again. We sincerely apologize for the disruption to your evening and the disappointment it caused. Sincerely, Caprice
