This was my second trip to Galway and I knew I had to stop in Riordans for some chicken goujons! Also, don't miss out on the garlic mayo! You will want to keep coming back for more! I did!

My check list for Ireland had Shepherd's pie on it and Riordan's didn't disappoint. American shepherds pie is usually bland and dull but this is the real deal folks! The gravy was soooo tasty and everything was simple and delicious. We also loved the atmosphere on Quay Street. Lovely music and people. Don't underestimate this small restaurant just because it's... Small and modest, it is a nice surprise in the most bustling and active street of Galway. The food is really tasty and home made. Really good dessets and better prices!

First taste of a full irish which sort any hangover. Tea and coffee were fantastic, their service was great and the overall ambience and dimly lit corner we were sat out was just as I had pictured a small Irish cafe. Really nice place which I highly recommend!

I suppose there had to be one bad apple in our week-long trip to Galway, and I'm afraid Riordan's was it. True, it's a cheap enough place, but the food was verging on inedible. We only ordered sandwiches. How can you mess up a sandwich? The bread was so stale it wasn't like food at all and my mother ended... More

We stopped by Riordan's twice for lunch during our time in Galway. The seafood chowder is what brought us back! Thick, creamy, chunky, and delicious. We sat downstairs both times, and you really feel like you're dining with and among the Irish. It didn't feel touristy or gimmicky at all. It was cheap, delicious, and had free wifi! Also, check... I visited this cafe along with my family on the 20th February. We all had starters, the sea food chowder was great. For mains I had a delicious lasagne and my dad had a lovely shepherds pie with mountains of veg. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that the soft drinks menu was lacking a bit... More
