We had a Christmas lunch for 58 people yesterday and from start to finish it was amazing. When you book a place for Christmas there’s always a concern that the food won’t be great or the place will be crowded but the management and staff...went above and beyond for us. The food was incredible. A choice of 3 starters, 4 mains and 3 desserts, we were all so impressed. Myself and my 4 friends dined here for my friends birthday in December. When we arrived the pub was very busy with a lovely Christmas atmosphere. The stunning Christmas lights and the warm fires made it feel so festive. We were greeting by the lovely...manager Steve who showed us to our table in the dining area. It was very busy with all tables full. We got a lovely table down the back. We were then greeted by the nicest waitress. I didn't get her name but she had blonde hair and was so pleasant and efficient. We all had starters and they were all delicious. I had prawn Tempura which came in batter with a lovely sauce on the side. Big portions and absolutely delicious. Some of my friends had chicken wings again delicious. For main course 4 of us had the lamb. It was absolutely beautiful. Cooked perfectly sitting on a bed of mash and beautiful carrot puree. And pipping hot. I was absolutely stuffed after it. No one could fit desert. We had a beautiful bottle of red wine and drinks in between. The waitress couldn't do enough fo us. We left after the meal but the place was buzzing. Overall I would definitely recommend dining here and staying in the bar for a few drinks. We could not fault the food whatsoever everything we had was top class and service 100%. The bar is sooo cosy and the ideal spot for cosying up for a hot one on a cold 🥶 day. If in Galway I would definitely add this spot to your list. You won't be disappointed.More

Had a meal for 2 here. Food was just about ok .portions tiny. Seabass really small and potatoe half cooked and chicken portion tiny for the price . It was a monday night didnt see anyone else eating but was busy with xmas parties felt...as if we were in the way. Wont be returningMore

We had a brilliant night here for my Dads surprise Retirement/Birthday. The staff went above and beyond even in the weeks coming up to the event. Service was brilliant even though the whole place was super busy. The food was great, the atmosphere was brilliant....Thank you so much to Matt & all the team. Found this pub listed as one of the best pubs in galway with good ratings and reviews so decided to try it out on a thursday night for a date night with my wife. We booked a table online but when we arrived it seemed...they had no record but managed to find us a table all be it in a high traffic are en-route to the toilets. We ordered wings to share for starters and they were amazing I ordered fish and chips and it was reasonably good it was nicely cooked and decent sized portion although the triple cooked chips could have done with longer in the fryer. The real issue came with the Sea Bass my wife had sold as being served on baby roast potatoes it came with boiled baby potatoes which my wife does not like we called the waitress she took it away and came back saying that it would be a few minutes but it was in hand fine we thought just plated up wrong, 10 minutes later back she comes with a fresh dish where they had either flash fried or grilled the already boiled potatoes again not what was advertised. She decided to just not have a main course and instead ordered another bowl of wings. In fairness to the manager he gave us complimentary drinks and her dessert as well but how difficult is it to actually cook what the menu says, its not like they have an extensive menu anyways. Had a work night out there recently, chicken skewers dry and disgusting,mini burgers dry and bland,chips were nice.. definitely not a gastro pub .

Had my son's graduation dinner at Keogh's last night and as usual, a lovely evening. Warm cozy pub, great atmosphere and excellent food and drink. Looking forward to my next visit already.

Really lovely food... atmosphere was great. Mary the server was v friendly. Kids want 2 go back for the beef croquettes starter & the prawn starter. Everything was delicious..... Would definitely recommend & will definitely pay another visit.

Excellent food in a traditional Irish Pub. Lovely atmosphere and first class server. We were impressed with the standard of the food and the cleanliness also. Lovely relaxed atmosphere in which to spend a rainy night in Galway.

We viewed their online menu before we visited but sadly menu was different when we got there! Ordered free range chicken. 19e. The tiniest portion of chicken with a small portion of potato gratin. The chicken was overcooked and I was still hungry. The fish...was good but nothing special. Very disappointed as expected more from a gastropub. My husband and I visited here one evening as we were visiting Galway from England. The manager was very welcoming and found us a table.
