Nice coffee, friendly service. Interesting glasses for coffee - a glass within a glass. Small seating area.
I came into Le chocolat de fred in a fair rush to be at an appointment close enough to the cafe/restaurant. Cyllia (not sure if I'm spelling her name right so very sorry if I am) was lovely and said I could pop back in...anytime of the day to collect it. Needless to say it was delicious and perfectly made, I got the first option of chocolate and bananas (there's also options of savoury crepes which look great too) the crepe Wasnt too rich so wasn't to heavy but hit the right spot. Lovely and efficient staff, wasn't waiting long at all even during their busy lunch hour, will definitely be returning!!More

My Gf and i stopped for a short break in this fabulous and unexpected small place. Really nice decor which creates a real « Parisian athmosphere ». It’s not only a place for chocolate lovers, they have a wide range of all kinds of sweet...delicacies… the Crepe full of amazing dark melted chocolate and fruits Scrumptious hot chocolate with peanut butter, is just exceptional. Great service, warm and friendly. I am not surprised it’s often so busy. This amazing French owner is passionate about quality. Thanks for this sweet moment in Le Chocolat de Fred. I would definitely recommend it.More
I like the deisign of the coffee area wher you can taste excellent chocolat, crepes with tasty coffee.
Waited 20 mins in a queue on a Sunday. Finally got to order. Ordered a hot chocolate and crepe. Waited another 20 mins and I finally had to ask where the order was. “Oh sorry we forgot” was the answer. Get your house in order...is my advice.More

We discovered this cafe when looking for real hot chocolate (made with melted chocolate) near us yesterday and returned today for a savoury crepe (and another classic hot chocolate!). I can see we will have to come back before we leave Dublun to try their...waffles!More

A warm friendly place in the centre of Dun Laoghaire full of Gallic charm. Try for excellent coffee and pastries. Don’t miss the chocolate!
Thanks very much for your review Lee. Gallic charm and great chocolate... This is indeed what we are trying to bring to Dun Laoghaire 😋
It is essential to taste the specialties of french crêpes and hot chocolate. Cosy place and very Nice peuple! We had such a great Time at le chocolat de Fred!!!! Thank you
A warm place to enjoy crepes and wafles with an amazing chocolate in Dun Laoghaire. There is a wide choice of toppings (fruits, candies, cream...).
I went here with my family. In particular I was impressed by the classy and beautifully laid-out interior. There is a real continental vibe in this creperie. Even more than the cool surroundings, though, was the top quality crepe and most incredible creamy chocolate. My...kids had the waffles with strawberries and whipped cream and still rave about it today. This is a 'must-visit' when in Dun Laoghaire. PaulMore
My daughter and I stopped in as the menu caught our eye. She ordered a waffle and I had a savory crepe. Both were excellent! But what I enjoyed most was sitting out at a little table on the sidewalk, people watching and enjoying the...delicious cappuccino. Yum! Will definitely be back. We decided next time we would try the ice cream.More
