Fantastic dinner for two! We managed to get in on an early bird special, which was great as it may have been a little pricey if we hadn't. Went for the full 3 courses each and enjoyed each one, particularly the bread and butter pudding - delicious! Overall, a great restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere overlooking the Ha'penny bridge -... More

Stopped there on a rainy day and we're lucky enough to get a table by the window, overlooking the quays and the Liffey. Enjoyed some poached eggs with black pudding and a seafood chowder, both top notch. Our daughter was over the moon with her waffle. Very nice brunch options and very popular so you might want to call ahead... More

I've eaten at this restaurant perhaps 5 times now. Every time I travel to Dublin, it is on my must visit list. The food is always incredibly good -- local ingredients and delicious combinations -- and the wine selection is fantastic. Mostly, the waitstaff are professionals. Nothing better than having the question answered with honesty and integrity. I love this... More

Four adults at dinner on Saturday night. We overlooked the Ha'Penny Bridge-which was glorious. Obvious detail to quality, seasonal ingredients made this a special meal. Noise level was perfect for casual conversation without other tables listening in. Opt for the micro brews rather than imported wines! We shared the "Irish charcuterie" board with 3 kinds of salami and 3 other... More

This was my first trip back in a couple of years and the food was as good as I remembered. Service is good, too. If I lived in Dublin this would be a regular spot for me. Get the fish plate and the bread and butter pudding!

We were on our first trip to Dublin and got off of "Hop on - Hop off" bus about 20 blocks too early, but we had heard great things about this restaurant above a bookstore, so we soldiered on. The hike just made the experience richer once we got there. When we arrived we could see that TWS draws a... More

Booked for a meal here on the basis of a lunch I had had a couple of years ago. The standard is still excellent. The food was lovely and the service was good in spite of the fact that the restaurant was full. Everything was cooked to perfection. No room for dessert!! Excellent value for money. Fantastic location (as long... More

Had a meal here recently. Unfortunately not a great selection on the menu. All four of us ended up having the steak and chips. We were seated at the top level and it was rather noisy and stuffy. The service was good but the meal quite expensive.

I've eaten here with small groups but more often with large groups visiting Dublin. The food is modern authentic Irish and the location is excellent, a short walk from Temple Bar over the Ha'penny Bridge. I always ask for a table overlooking the river. The "smokies" is the go-to starter (if you have a fixed menu, ask for that anyway),... More
