Awesome..I am not a vegetarian but this may be some of the best food I've had in Dublin glad it came up on trip advisor! Name is weird for an Indian vegetarian place but the food is delicious

Very disappointed. Vegetarian Indian food can be absolutely marvellous but this was just tasteless slop piled high and all on an admittedly low price for Dublin. I can't believe how bland Indian food can be. It's tops for quantity but not quality. Sorry Govindas.
I was in the city of Dublin and looked at the reviews of this place. It is more like a cafe style. You take a small or large plate. Small for 10.50 Euros or large for 14.95. We picked up a large plate which has...brown or white rice, daal, cabbage & potato’s subji, another potato dish, either paneer or tofu dish. Each day are different dishes. On the day we went most dishes contained potatoes. I paid €29.99 for both of us not knowing that my husband anctually swapped for a smaller dish. I asked the girl working there for a refund of €4.95 but as most Indian vendors it was an issue for her to give the refund. She made an excuse that she would come back to me when she is able to do it but we had finished our meal and found she was still not sure whether refund could be made to me. Rather than waiting there I opted to take a piece of cheese cake instead which was €3.95 a slice and cut my losses. Would I go there again? No I wouldn’t because the dishes were a bit bland and mainly potatoes. Daal was very watery and not much taste. No man bread or roti. It is ok if you want to be sure about vegetarian food as they do only veg dishes otherwise I would spend may be double the amount but have a decent and tasty food from elsewhere. I also noticed that they did not include salad and had to be purchased separately.More
I love Govindas - cheap, wholesome food with lots of flavour. I always feel full after eating here, and energised because it is a good, wholefoods based meal. There are lots of different items on a plate, and they offer both sit in and takeaway....I even brought a non vegan/vegetarian friend here and she loved it. The owner is always very pleasant to deal with.More
Website says you open at 12. Stood outside today until 12.10pm when you still hadnt opened I left. Either open on time or change the time on your website
From the onset, the restaurant was relatively grubby and dark. Not the best place to eat and felt unclean. Lighting needed to be improved and the toilets needed to be freshened up and kept up to the style of a modern traveller. The food was...bland, lacking depth although felt Satvik. Maybe out of touch with an Indian palette. Though it must be said that it was great to have a vegetarian and vegan restaurant in Dublin. The staff were very helpful and friendly, they also provided chilli powder and chilli sauce. It was just in a different era and needs to reflect modern tastes. We expected better from a Hare Krishna establishmentMore
The small plate's portion was more than enough to get us fully satisfied. We had all the vegan and the vegetarian options and enjoyed the flavors. Loved it!
This is an excellent vegetarian option in Dublin. It's easy to get to and the staff are friendly. Portion sizes are generous. The spiciness level is pretty mild and suits the western palate.
Fabulous choice of food, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Only point to note- the toilets need some upkeep and are quite dated.
This restaurant has a canteen character. Sounds at first glance quite inferior, but it is not. The well-designed restaurant offers about 12 dishes, which can be combined depending on the selected plate. The small plate allows you to choose from 3 dishes, while the large...one allows even 5 combinations. The small plate was more than sufficient for me and the selected Ayurvedic specialties (including Palak Paneer) are all at least vegetarian. The composition was very tasty and very reasonably priced. A super price-performance ratio!More
Lovely independent restaurant selling incredible veggie and vegan food! Portion sizes are huuuge making it very well worth the money. Highly recommend :)
Not a welcoming place and staff not friendly at all. Staff member was very short with us and not helpful at all, even when my 11 year old son asked what the dishes were. I would rather give my money to a company who are...friendly and have some level of customer service. Horrible experience!!!!!More
Love their cakes and mains, I am vegan and in love with their food :) for the soul and body I will definitely come back !
Visited last week & everything as good as ever, great simple food for Vegans & Vegetarians. This is just a heads-up that they are refurbishing and won't be open until the middle of February 2020.
Very nice vegetarian foods but after eating super I got stomach upset. Perhaps because the food was cold and rice wasn't fresh
