Monty's of Kathmandu is a long standing and excellent Nepalese restaurant. I have eaten here quite a few times over the years, and it never disappoints. The food is always of a high quality, and it is significant that they also run a cookery school,...More

I’m so disappointed to say that though food is lovely here, I had the worst experience with the most horrible man from here. Ages ago I made provisional booking for here and they said they needed credit card booking. Honest mistake but I forgot to...More

We brought our 9 & 11 year old for their first taste of Nepalese, waiter was brilliant, describing the dishes graphically, providing advice on best dishes for delicate pallets, offering to make dishes milder. We had Masu Ko Bari, Barbecued Chicken wings and lathi kebab...More

We are here twice on a four night stay in Dublin as we loved it so much after the first visit! The meal was so tasty, perfectly cooked. Really delicious! Staff were really attentive too - I'd highly recommend a visit.

We enjoyed Monty's so much that we at there twice during our recent time in Dublin. The squid appetizer is succulent (not calamari rings, but squid bodies, nicely flavored and grilled). The Gorkhali (either with lamb or chicken) is superb; we later searched for recipes...More

In a world where even many of the high-end restaurants are stripped down, it was a pleasure to be in such a welcoming and atmospheric place. The quality of the food was well above other Indian restaurants in Dublin we like. (I know it's Nepalese...More

Had a meal here with a group of friends. We had some veggies and some vegans and had rang ahead to ask would they be able to cater for Vegans. They not only remembered this when we got there but went through the menu with...More

Description
Montys of Kathmandu, a multi-award winning Nepalese Restaurant in the heart of Dublin's Cultural quarter and now more recently, in the leafy suburbs of Rathgar. Montys is the first Nepalese Restaurant ever to open in Ireland specialising in the beautiful food from the Himalayan Kingdom. We make everything inhouse and do nor use any artificial additives to enhance the flavours of our food. All our chefs are natives of Nepal and it is owned by Nepalis too. We pride ourselves on giving you the customers the authentic experience, with out taking any short cuts. We source all our ingredients, where possibly locally and use the best possible available to us.
