Serving Ireland's best steak in Temple Bar, a traditional Irish steakhouse with the experience and knowledge of over 25 years serving the perfect steak. We change our menus seasonally to reflect the finest that Irish produce has to offer in combination with the finest wines, cocktails and spirits to cater for all tastes and budgets. The Buckley Family has built a reputation as purveyors of quality meats for over six generations. Francis Xavier opened his first butcher shop on Moore Street in 1930 and this soon became awell-known Dublin institution. Since then it was part of a natural progression to open our own steakhouses around the city and serve our famous beef from our butchers to your table.

A cozy restaurant, early reservations recommended, where you can eat delicious steaks. Explanation in advance about types of steaks. The staff really tries to take care of you. Had a fantastic bottle of red wine and an Irish coffee for dessert. Not a cheap restaurant but definitely worth it.

The best steak in Dublin. From the staff thank you Dan and George, the service and attention was wonderful. The food was magnificent beginning to end. First Class food and service. Bringing the tray of butchers cuts of meats (aka Dimitri ) was an added bonus and a cool presentation. Can’t wait to go back! Thank you!

This is the best restaurant in dublin.
We were all blown away by the quality of the food.
We had the short rib nugget, young buck panna cotta, steaks, sides, banoffee cheesecake and raspberry pistachio delice.
Steaks were so soft they cut like butter, all cooked to perfection with delicious sides
All staff friendly and service really quick.

This was an evening that was not planned. We fell upon the name of the restaurant looking something up on the Internet. Booked reservation.
We ended up coming to the restaurant early and they were more then welcoming. The entire evening, the staff was more than knowledgeable about the aging process, and the cuts of meat, but they also took interest in who they were serving.
The ribeye that I had was one of the best Braveheart very long time, including many different cultures that are known for their cuts of meat and the aged to perfection aging. All three of us are pleasantly surprised, and for sure, we will go back if we get the chance to do business in Dublin again!

The food was excellent. The only thing better than the food was the service. My wife and I showed up without reservations and the host found us a table and sat us ASAP. The host and the server were very attentive through out the entire dinner. When the food came out, the food was amazing. My wife and I ordered the Poterhouse for two and they gave so much food that we couldn't finish.
Overall, we were very happy with out experience.

We took our children here for a real treat. My husband had visited with work years ago and had always raved about the place.
The steak was simply divine. My 10 year old daughter had the burger, which she thought was amazing, my sons and myself and my husband had steak.
Delicious. No other word for the meal. The nicest mash and spring onions (champ/howd) I have ever tasted.
Anyone who knows the restaurant knows you aren’t coming for a quick or cheap bite, but quality meat presentation and flavour and that’s what we had. Did not disappoint.
If you love your steak and looking for a treat, definitely would recommend .

We went there after we had bad luck with another establishment due to lack of reservation. We went there hoping to be lucky. They found a small table for us!!! My advice though is BOOK in advance. The service was great and the food was very tasty, although I have to add the new trend with less salt in everything in most restaurants for me that I do not have a hypertension issue is a little annoying but respect that is mainly done for the general health. We highly recommend FX for a visit, it is expensive but aren't they all in Dublin.....????!!!!!

it was a great evening, with a wide variety of steak being eaten, ranging from blue to cremated (which is soooo wrong), from filet to t-bone and tomahawk. All the food came out together and it was melt in your mouth - can highly recommend FX Buckleys.
On top of this the service was superb
Overall a very enjoyable and satisfying evening

Found this steakhouse last minute whilst in the temple bar area & so glad we chose to eat here rather than the other bars around. Staff were friendly & service was quick. Food was outstanding. We both went for the 10oz strip loin steak & it was definitely worth the money & cooked perfectly. I ordered the creamy mash & creamy spinach on the side and both were so delicious. Cost £100 for 2 of us which is so reasonable with two glasses of wine & a pint. Would re visit in a heart beat, thank you so much

My daughter loved the Rib Eye. My striploin on the bone was good, too. Sides are all tasty, and there are plenty of options. However, my wife's fish dish was disappointing. The halibut itself was good, but she thought the pesto base was tasteless. It's not cheap, but we knew that. Before hand. Only go if everyone likes steak. Wine was particularly expensive, too.

Since we had a very good meal there on our last visit to Dublin, we decided to eat there again this year.
Reservations are necessary, but you have to leave a credit card. The service shows the different types of meat. The menu was almost the same as a few years ago, only the price had gone up. The wine list was also very well stocked, but the price increase had also hit there.
The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. We had a lovely evening, but the price-performance ratio seemed a little off.

Very good place, super attentive, friendly and polite waiters. The meat is a spectacle and they give you a presentation of the cuts at the beginning. Good accompaniment, the potatoes are homemade and the breaded onion is very good.

Two unique menus at 29€. Either chicken or beef and not beef chop!!
A unique dessert... cream cabbages and nutela sauce!! Pathetic
We were sold this restaurant for a good steak house!! What a shame

While traveling in Ireland with my daughter, we decided to give F.X. Buckley a try. I was looking forward to try a steakhouse that has been voted as one of the top 101 Steak Restaurants in the world for 4 consecutive years. And F.X. Buckley did not disappoint! Impeccable service coupled with excellent steak. I ordered the 22oz Rib Eye on the bone. It was juicy and flavorful, simply superb. The cajun onions were a nice surprise and their fries were thick with a crunchy exterior and a light and fluffy interior. We loved it!
