This is the best restaurant in dublin. We were all blown away by the quality of the food. We had the short rib nugget, young buck panna cotta, steaks, sides, banoffee cheesecake and raspberry pistachio delice. Steaks were so soft they cut like butter, all...cooked to perfection with delicious sides All staff friendly and service really quick.More

We had booked this restaurant after a recommendation from family. Firstly put somebody in front of house that will actually say , hello, how are you , your welcome here , any of the above would be nice,. The table was booked ,6 weeks in...advance ,so I was surprised when we were being seated in 1 of the 3 tables in the middle of the floor, I asked as we had booked in advance could we possibly sit in one of the empty tables on the edges , we were but yet again no words from the front of house person. Our meal was nice , all except the carmalised onions , desert fab and coffee good . Another server bringing our drinks couldn't be bothered to talk , the only member of staff with a personality was the young man with the tat on his neck , staff could learn from him, feeling a bit underwhelmed , £150 for our meal and drinks and yes for this I expect a personality and a manner from the staff.More

Visited for my partners birthday , I requested a bottle of wine on the table for arrival and they had everything ready for us. They went as far as bringing him out a complimentary desert with a candle , such a nice touch ! I’ve...ate here numerous times before and it’s always somewhere I HAVE to go in Dublin. The food is outstanding and the staff are very knowledgeable about the steaks and wine.More

This was an evening that was not planned. We fell upon the name of the restaurant looking something up on the Internet. Booked reservation. We ended up coming to the restaurant early and they were more then welcoming. The entire evening, the staff was more...than knowledgeable about the aging process, and the cuts of meat, but they also took interest in who they were serving. The ribeye that I had was one of the best Braveheart very long time, including many different cultures that are known for their cuts of meat and the aged to perfection aging. All three of us are pleasantly surprised, and for sure, we will go back if we get the chance to do business in Dublin again!More

We have been to many cities and eaten at many many restaurants and all of us said this was the best meal we have ever had! Both couples had the chateaubriand. Cooked perfectly and so tender. This came with lots of sides, everything you could...want from mushrooms, onions, mash chips etc. and you get all 4 sauces with it were also amazing. We even said we had never enjoyed broccoli and green beans so much. Desserts were also divine! Again some of the best we’ve had. We also had cocktails and whilst pricey were definitely worth it! The highlight of our trip and considering flying from the UK to Dublin just to eat here again. :)More

The dining experience was amazing! We arrived and were seated right away. They brought out a tray of meat cuts for our review. Although we were only two, it can accommodate families with small children. Food and service were both wonderful!

We booked our table months before our Dublin visit, buzzing in anticipation of a meal in the famous FX Buckley steak restaurant. You need to book ahead, demand is high. Our experience was largely very positive. Comfortable restaurant, lovely staff, perfect IPA! However we have...to say that our steaks were ok, quite good - for the price we paid I fully expected to be seriously wowed… we weren’t, we’d had many a tastier and more tender steak for a fraction of what we paid here. We wouldn’t recommend it if paying full price - if they run an offer then give a go.More

This was an amazing return visit to Buckley’s. Our family of 3 thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The Chateaubriand for 2 was phenomenal and my daughter loved her filet. Wine, appetizers, entrees and desserts were spot on and prepared perfectly.

We went there after we had bad luck with another establishment due to lack of reservation. We went there hoping to be lucky. They found a small table for us!!! My advice though is BOOK in advance. The service was great and the food was...very tasty, although I have to add the new trend with less salt in everything in most restaurants for me that I do not have a hypertension issue is a little annoying but respect that is mainly done for the general health. We highly recommend FX for a visit, it is expensive but aren't they all in Dublin.....????!!!!!More

So here's my story and I'm sticking to it... walking though Dublin and the wife and I run across a butcher shop, F.X.Buckley, and loving meat the way I do I was very sad... all that lovely meat and no way to take it home...or grill it on the balcony of the hotel. But WAIT they have restaurants, with available slots for reservations!!! Yay for us, we can eat that beautiful meat and not have to cook it ourselves So we made reservations for F.X. Buckley the Restaurant Started with 1/2 dozen oysters, beautiful fresh flavor Porterhouse, chips, mash, green beans, broccoli Perfectly cooked Cuts like butter Crème Brule Very attentive service 815 reservation, seated exactly on time €142 for two with, tax tips and drinks they have their own steak knives that they sharpen 3 x a week so your meat will cut and not tear Highly recommend - and reasonably priced for a higher end restaurantMore

I think its the 5th time I've visited here over the years and noticed its getting worse each time. This year I've been twice and both occasions steak has not been great! Ask for medium and got raw steak halfway through was told "I can...take it back and cook a bit more" top steak places would take it back and make a fresh one! My partners was cold! Not sure if they changed chefs and staff over the years but I won't be coming back again!More

it was a great evening, with a wide variety of steak being eaten, ranging from blue to cremated (which is soooo wrong), from filet to t-bone and tomahawk. All the food came out together and it was melt in your mouth - can highly recommend...FX Buckleys. On top of this the service was superb Overall a very enjoyable and satisfying eveningMore
