About
Serving Ireland's best steak in Temple Bar, a traditional Irish steakhouse with the experience and knowledge of over 25 years serving the perfect steak. We change our menus seasonally to reflect the finest that Irish produce has to offer in combination with the finest wines, cocktails and spirits to cater for all tastes and budgets. The Buckley Family has built a reputation as purveyors of quality meats for over six generations. Francis Xavier opened his first butcher shop on Moore Street in 1930 and this soon became awell-known Dublin institution. Since then it was part of a natural progression to open our own steakhouses around the city and serve our famous beef from our butchers to your table

Went for a short rib nugget for starter, it was way overcooked, dry and bland. People dining with me went for other starters like scallops and caeser salad, they weren't too impressed with them for various reasons. One person did have kidneys which they said...were great and they did look good to be fair. I went fillet steak for main which was cooked to perfection and came with some lovely sides and sauces. Desserts were decent. Overall a good experience and good serviceMore

We came to Buckley's for a small family celebration (there were 6 of us) and from start to finish the experience was exceptional. The serving staff were delightful - very knowledgeable about the menu and the extensive wine list - and were on hand swiftly...should we want anything. The food was delicious. They specialise in all manner of steak - only one of us had this, a T-bone, and declared it excellent. The cauliflower steaks for the vegetarians were innovative and very tasty. Veg made interesting! The fish was beautifully presented, well cooked, and expertly flavoured. Portions were incredibly generous and nobody thought they had been short-changed. We left after a cheese course and a chaser and felt very satisfied indeed. There are a few F.X.Buckley's around Dublin. This one had a very intimate feel to it, which we enjoyed. Not loud, thoughtful lighting (not too dark), and small. It felt quite exclusive. If you are a sensitive vegetarian and choose to go here, please be aware that there are cuts of beef hanging in a glass case in the restaurant. Couldn't fault the evening. Thanks team.More

Wanted a nice steak restaurant to celebrate a special birthday whilst staying in Dublin. After checking various reviews decided to book FX Buckley’s at Temple Bar. It’s not a huge dining room so nice and intimate with an open kitchen. Staff were really attentive and...friendly. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and the wine accompanying it was perfect - the Zuccardi Malbec if you are interested. There’s a really nice atmosphere at this place and can’t recommend it highly enough. Look forward to returning.More

We enjoyed a fantastic dinner of four for Mother’s Day during our visit to Dublin. This is a fantastic restaurant that should be on your reservations list when your travels bring you to Dublin. It is located in the heart of Temple Bar district and...within easy walking distance to most downtown hotels. We were seated in the window area with a wonderful view of the street and Sunday activities. The food was exceptional. We each ordered a different meal and appetizers and were able to sample all of the offerings. Each meal was better than the next…. I will definitely return to this restaurant when I’m back in Dublin and recommend that you treat yourself to a fantastic dining experience.More

This place is just amazing. We had to book a long way in advance to get a table as always really busy but well worth the wait. The starters we had tasted amazing ( lamb kidneys and whipped goats cheese ) they also have a...great wine list. We will hen shared the porterhouse steak which was cooked to perfection. It comes with amazing side dishes and sauces. Pudding list isn’t massive. I had cheese board which again was great. Finished off with cocktailsMore

Booked on friday night with my vegetarian girlfriend. Both steak menu and the vegetarian (cauliflower with salt baked parsnip) were absolute perfectly made. Nothing to complain about. We had a wonderful romantic date night and left satisfied. We'll definitely come back as soon as we...are in Dublin again!More

We had such a marvelous dinner on our last evening in Dublin. The steaks were perfect, desserts were decadent and the service was excellent! Don’t pass this restaurant if you are looking for a steakhouse in the heart of South City Center Dublin.
