Food so delicious - staff are so sweet and welcoming. My in-laws have very little English so given the interactive nature of this dining experience al language barriers were well and truly broken down!!! Hugely entertaining and at a very reasonable price. Always a safe and worth while choice close to great bars not far a city centre.

We had a lovely evening here add had great fun for the family. My 9 year old boy decided 10 out of 10 wasn't sufficient add gave it 100 off of 100. Ned like all his meals in this style..

Great entertainment as you sit around the chefs table while he cooks for you. Lots of games - trying to catch the food in your mouth from the chef and interactive as the chef allows you to participate in the cooking. It was one of our colleagues birthdays and they played the guitar and sang happy birthday to him. They... More

This has to have been one of the best places I've ate for a night out. Staff were super friendly. They were able to sort out any allergy problems when we said it. We where a couple at a table of 11, everybody got on well and was having good fun which added to the experience, the chef was very... More

Had heard good things so was excited to visit this restaurant. Unfortunately though we booked for 9:30 and I think we missed the atmosphere with it being a late booking. The restaurant seemed to clear out despite being a Saturday night. Food was lovely and prices were reasonable. If booking I would recommend being at the teppanyaki.

Visited around 8pm on a Sunday night. We were the only ones downstairs but that didn't bother us. Food was served nice and quick and very fresh. We had a gentleman sing to us which was a nice surprise and made the evening. Great food, a place definitely to visit if in town.

Went to this restaurant on Saturday not really knowing what to expect. What fun what food and what lovely surprise. We were welcomed like long lost family. Entertained with live music and fed lovely food by great staff. All in all a great night and strongly recommended.

The food is excellent quality and cooked in front of you. The whole experience is great fun. it is like participating in a food show. Everyone is friendly around the Teppenyaki Table and the chefs are super, including everyone. it doesn't matter if there are only 2 of you or if you are a larger group. You will have a... More

Description
Chai yo is split into two sections, upstairs we have three teppanyaki (hibachi) tables where the chef entertains and cooks in front of you. Down stairs we have the more conventional restaurant sitting. We serve a variety of asian cuisines such as teppanyaki, sushi, thai curries and chinese food. We love to cater for large groups at the teppanyaki tables where we can accomodate up to 40 ppl on the three tables. Dont forget every night we have singers and a guitarist to help you celebrate that perfect night.
