If you’re visiting Dublin you must visit The Church!! This place had been recommended on a lot of gluten free/coeliac groups and I’m so glad we visited. They had a separate coeliac menu and were very informed about it all. My other half had the...fish and chips from the standard menu and I had the chicken supreme I think it was called. Hands down the best meal I’ve had in a long, long time! Other half said the fish and chips were the best he’d had too. So, so delicious. We sat upstairs which is in a balcony-type area overlooking the bar. It was a very busy Friday night but the staff were so organised we were never waiting long at all. Great atmosphere to the place and staff were lovely. Cannot recommend enough!More

I visited The Church 2 times, once for dinner, once just for a pint in the afternoon. It’s got good atmosphere, service was nice. My oysters were perfect, as well as the rib-eye.

We've been gere 3 times before and foid were always really good. However it was my 60th Birthday and my wife decided to take me there for my birthday as she thought we would be able to sit back and relax to enjoy my birthday....It was a real nightmare having our meal as the waitress was putting a lot of pressure in us to order our foods. Awful times weve had and we have now decided NOT to go back there ever again. Toilets were filthy and not checked regularly as expected. Really disappointing time for my 60th birthday. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone ever again.More

We had a brilliant night at the Church last week for dining and drinking. We had a fantastic view from the gallery restaurant where we were sat looking over the stunning bar and live acts from the balcony. We booked on a Thursday evening where...we had live Irish music and Irish dancing from 19:00. We had the most wonderful waiter Leon who was extremely attentive, accommodating and most importantly had an upbeat positive attitude, and a lovable personality. His service made our experience at The Church perfect and we would highly recommend booking a night here at this venue.More

Nice building both spacious and unusual as the name suggests. Enjoyed my afternoon there but some of the staff were either inexperienced or poorly training

This restaurant in a former church has a vibe I can only describe as bizarre. The church itself is largely preserved with the old memorials around the walls still intact from the 1800s. Had the Irish stew...overcooked and bland. Staff was okay. Noisy place. Entertainment...nothing special. Won't be backMore

Walking by this place it looked interesting although it was hard to find the entrance / front door not a lot of signage. On arrival into The Church I noticed lots of staff around, I was unsure weather to wait at the desk entrance or...just grab a table, after sometime I asked the lady behind the bar do I just sit down, the reply was yes. I found a menu and a table, very comfortable and happy. I visited the rest rooms there are situated in the cellar so there are stairs. The Church is a Cafe Bar and Restaurant the 17th Century Church of St Mary’s was founded in 1697as only the second parish on the North side of the Liffey Valley. Built by English Architect William Robinson And Tomas Burgh. It’s tall ceilings and space filled area give you a sense of space. Food was lovely and not over priced. I had a very pleasant waitress, she was on it, checking in to see if I was ok and if I would like anything else. I felt comfortable and well taken care of. The service, food, atmosphere was excellent. Worth a Visit !!More

We booked online which was easy. Had excellent seats next to the small stage area. Entertainment was good for a Thursday evening ,traditional Irish dancing and two musicians who were friendly and got involved with our group singing happy birthday to our friends. Music finished...early may have been nice to have some music playing upstairs until later as there was a private function downstairs so once finished that was it. Overall a pleasant evening which finished our few days off.More
