I loved this pub. I stayed in a hotel around the corner for four nights and visited this place every day. Although technically a "city centre pub" (I suppose), this place is more down to earth and less pricey than the other pubs in the...More

It took this Yank 20 years to write this review. But, after having visited the Lord Edward on several occasions over the years, I recall it fondly as a hospitable watering hole with a very good kitchen. So many lively conversations were had that touched...More

I came to the Lord Edward on recommendation from a local family member and it was definitely worth the stop in. The bar area downstairs was particularly busy on the night so we decided to head upstairs to the lounge. We found an amazingly comfortable...More

We love this pub because it is a really authentic Irish Pub as opposed to the “plastic”Irish Pubs in the Temple Bar. The staff are brilliant, the atmosphere fantastic and the locals the friendliest you could imagine. We sample other pubs but always head back...More

Do you want to meet locals? Stay away from Temple Bar and go here. Small pub with lots of charm, fun bartenders and friendly locals. Plus they pour the BEST glass of Guiness in Dublin - really!

If you're looking for a normal Irish pub, this is where ya go. You won't get any plastic paddy nonsense. It's a pub clear and simple. Come in, get a pint, get a toasty and enjoy your time

I only drank at The Lord Edward, I didn't eat here. The pub is a proper, traditional pub with excellent beer, a pleasant staff, and a community atmosphere that caters to locals even though it is in the middle of a section of Dublin overrun...More

We needed to sit down and choose The Lord Edward as it was close. On entering it was clearly a very "run down" pub. However, the barman was friendly and the beer good. The only other customers were six American's who had obviously just flown...More
