Food was lukewarm and served on cold plates. Fillet steak was beautiful medium rare, t-bone overdone. €3.50 for a side of veg which was 3 baby boil potatoes and 2 pieces of carrot, madness. Good social distancing for small restaurant. Staff helpful.
Booked this restaurant on the basis of the brilliant looking menus on their website. The ‘available all day’ set menu with 3 courses for €31.95 looked really brilliant value. The normal a la Carte menu looked good too.
The restaurant are unfortunately serving a really...limited separate menu that’s not on their website. The prices are extortionate Eg the fillet steak that is on the €31.95 set 3 course menu (with a €5 supplement) costs €29 on the new ‘Christmas menu’. When I asked the waiter why the had they were advertising menus on their website that were not valid I got a shrug of the shoulders.
Although the food was ok it certainly was not worth the price and if the correct menu was on the website I probably wouldn’t have booked. Service was good, the food was decent but pricey and the portions small (the 7oz fillet steak is a disgraceful portion size)More
I had my doubts whether I should or not write about, but I had mixed feelings about management’s approach really. The food was amazing and the whole experience, ambience and waiter who served us was very funny and we had a great laughs, but management....I found a place on open table and I saw an advertisement for a set menu 3 courses below 30e, also it is what it welcomes you at the door! Funny enough when at arrival you are given ala carte you have small choice to take it or go home. Nowadays everyone is looking for a value deals and anything that can give you an experience at this price at 5 pm should be a jackpot. No, I heard COVID hit the restaurant hard (I know-in the business for 12years) and menu is not available, but in your face it is all over internet and in front of a restaurant. It Is not the right approach. Not now and not when a customer is the only source of money you make from. It should be considered at least to be an option at 5 o’clock, the table we had could be turned twice and money made would be doubled. My guests were happy, but for me as a host coming from top hospitality restaurant, I felt unappreciated, and sent away with COVID excuse. I would strongly consider to change the approach to people that are willing to help to keep your business afloat. Wishing all the best, but I won’t return any soon.More
A lovely time spent dining at the Millstone. Service was excellent, knowledgeable staff and warm atmosphere.
The menu was extensive and catered for our diets. Would highly recommend the Vegetarian Wellington
Lovely Irish restaurant. The food tasted really fresh and the service was great.
I loved the fish and chips. The fish was really flaky and the beer batter was thin and crispy the way I like it! The Apple crumble was also delicious!
Walked by here so many times over the years and finally went in today. Had prawns (fab) and roast chicken. It was really good food, excellent service and the staff were very attentive. Lovely restaurant.
We had wonderful evening, the restaurant was fully prepared for guests, hand sanitizers at the door, staff wore visors, tables well spread out, disposable menu and cutlery in sealed bags. A wonderful evening, felt very safe throughout, we had the one waiter for the whole...evening who was very welcoming and attentive. Enjoyed lovely salmon and steak dishes, would recommend to anyone 10/10More
The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. My wife had the salmon and I had the lamb's belly. OMG!!!!! each dish was amazing. Then we had yummy dessert with a couple Irish coffees. Wonderful meal for our light night in Dublin.
