Busy, city centre Italian restaurant. A good variety of well cooked and presented food and an excellent wine list. Our main courses got lost en route, but were soon found and were worth the wait. It would help if they accepted bookings but it appears to work without them

We visited this restaurant over Christmas and enjoyed beautiful food. Our starters were delicious and packed full of fresh and distinctive flavours. The waitress was most helpful and very willing to help accommodate my children's requests for " simpler " versions of menu items. Unfortunately I had ordered salmon for main course which arrived to the table completely undercooked. When... More

This place is quite popular and got recommended to me by some friends. Atmosphere is nice, wine list very good. They work hard on creating genuine Italian experience (E.g staff is all Italian). But the food is just not good. Not even average. It is some Irish interpretation of Italian cuisine which I don't find very exciting.

Sorry to hear you were not impressed by the food. I would have loved to hear more about what you ate and what you didn't like. The feedback would be very helpful. You might consider sending us an email. More

The food was nice and the service good. They were a but scattered serving the wine and didn't seem to know which liquors they had. They overcharged in error.

We often stop for coffee while shopping and on this occasion decided to stop here as I hadn't been there for years. It was mid morning. 11.45 exactly and we decided that all we really wanted was coffee and a danish pastry. There was a nice warm cosy feeling to the place and were seated fairly promptly, there were only... More

Thank you for a valuable review. It is not our policy to stop serving coffee/danish and start lunch. D&C offers casual dining and all diners are welcome whether for a simply great Italian coffee , a nice plate of pasta or soup or a full meal. I can only think that you were unfortunately greeted by a member of staff... More

The food is always very good and well prepared. I was there over the busy Christmas season and was able to be seated without a reservation (although I was made to feel this was a bit of an imposition....I noticed on my way out another patron was given the same treatment). My server was friendly but my order took an... More

Popped in for lunch on Christmas Eve and was pleased that they were able to find us a table. Food was good from an interesting to unusual menu. Service also good and atmosphere just that of a real family restaurant. Extensive wine list.

The Good: Atmosphere and decor are brilliant, staff were pleasant and prompt, the starters (in particular a brushetta with goats cheese) were smashing The Bad: My own meal was average at best - I could, and have, made better at home. The pasta was overcooked and the sauce was not the best. My portion was grand, but one or two... More

This is a wonderful spot with an authentic Italian feel to it. The food is fresh, unfussy and delicious, with an impressive range of options on the menu. The wine list is particularly impressive, yet at the same time the house wines are excellent and reasonably priced. Definitely one to try, especially if you appreciate rustic Italian cuisine.
