Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My friends and I made a trip to Dublin for my birthday weekend. We visited this restaurant on our first night of the trip and we were pleasantly surprised. We had heard great things about the food and seen it had a presence on Instagram....We LOVE tapas and good wine and therefore it seemed like the best option to book to start off with a good meal. It did not disappoint! The ambience was lovely, staff were friendly and the dishes were ordered were super tasty. All in all, I’d definitely return here when back in Ireland xMore

The food was good, predictable, not particularly hot considering we were early...but we have never ever experienced such surly unhappy waiting servers anywhere in the world!

You want to be made shove your food down your throat you'll love it.Table was booked for 515 to which we promptly arrived. I was aware we had 2 hours for the table. At 20 to 7 were told (whilst having ordered desert and 2...full glasses) we were told they had a booking for 7..... 5 mins later whilst still eating the bill was put in front of us by the waitress with the card machine to pay. I asked why we were being rushed out when 1 nothing was said in the beginning and 2 at this point we should have had another half an left. She called who I think was the manager , who informed us quite abruptly well in busy periods it's 1 hour 45 to which I responded well why weren't we informed when we day down? Honestly food was fabulous but service and attitude 2as appalling, clearly trying to cram as many bookings as possible . I have never felt so rushed to eat a meal in a restaurant ever. We were told we could finish our drinks at the "bar". No seats nothing. Honestly will not be returning to one of my favourite places in Dublin, service taken a massive nosediveMore

Very poor. We both ordered, my wife’s came first and I was left sitting there for 15 mins. Asked a waitress where the food was and was told it was a priority. 10 mins later my wife is finished. Mine arrives, I was told there...should be 4 croquette and one more was on the way! Waited on a paella, rice hard, sea food rubbery. Sent it back, no apology from the waiters, no offer of anything else’s. We were leaving and found the assistant manager. Explained the situation to be told, mmm that’s happened a few times, sorry about that. If you come back I’ll look after you. I don’t think we will be back!More

The service was terrible. It took use ages to get the food, nobody had their full meal on front of them at any point. As well as the food coming out at different times. THE FOOD was terrible. We got cold scallops. We got frozen...prawns that were rubber. The bread was a day old. To the fact I feel ill today as we all know when u go to a restaurant you expect fresh food otherwise I might as well of stayed at home. I really hope you take what I said into consideration. A large party visited a few weeks ago. Food was fabulous, lots of choice and something for everyone. Extensive drinks list. Found the cost to be really reasonable.

I was given the job to find somewhere by the girls for dinner in Dublin on a Monday night, with majority of restaurants closed or fully booked I came across this fantastic place! The sangria was delightful we had 2 jugs and shared 12 tapas...plates between us and share a crème brûlée in total it came to €188 which we found an absolute bargain. Everything was beautiful! The cuttlefish paella, gambas pil pil and the cheese and meats board were unreal. I’m visiting London next month and can’t wait to visit that branch! Was absolutely excellent I was shocked we even managed to get a table!More

This tapas restaurant is in the Temple Bar area of Dublin. It is not a large restaurant and was very busy on the Sunday evening we visited, so booking is a good idea. All the food was very good. The black pudding was the standout...dish. I often find croquettes to be disappointing, but the spinach and cheeses croquettes were of exceptional quality.More

My wife and I were looking for a tasty and relatively healthy evening meal that was a bit difference, and The Port House certainly didn’t disappoint! We had a mixture of vegetarian and meat dishes, all of which were delicious, as was the wine and...the deserts. The service was incredibly friendly also. Throughly recommended if you are in the Temple Bar area!More

Really lovely place! Just off the busy-ness of Temple bar- a chilled oasis! Excellent tapas and drinks - only equalled by the really friendly staff and amazing service! Having just arrived for a weekend away we hadn’t booked - it was busy but a few...tables available. Wide range of tapas and drinks- the port flight and chocolates were really different and enjoyed! Down the stairs is a great area for private functions and the novelty entrance to the toilets must be viewed!! So glad we found this place - would definitely hop across the water to visit again! Thank you for a lovely evening!!More

This was my second time eating here and we returned because the food and service are always excellent! The waitress (Manageress I think?!) was faultless and a great help in advising on dishes, what to order and with a great recommendation on wines! ( Altos...Ibericos Crianza 2018!) The food arrives promptly and is superb! This is my favourite place to eat in Dublin and just off of Temple Bar so perfectly located.More

Lovely food and great service - the only downside is that the tables are small and maybe a little cramped - it was an enjoyable meal and I would recommend
