Bark Coffee is located at the back of Alan Hanna's bookshop in Rathmines, my favourite Dublin bookshop. They serve the most delicious and healthy sandwiches as well as excellent coffees and chai lattes. I wish I lived nearby so I could call in every day...for lunch. Alan Hanna's bookshop has a great selection of poetry books and the advantage of ordering books through them is that when you call in to pick them up, you can drop into Bark Coffee.More

Great place hidden at the back of a book shop. I love it here, coffee is better here than anywhere else in the Rathmines area. Friendly service and the freshly prepared food is excellent for a light lunch. Once I had a korean-american fusion styled...sandwich with kimchee, it was delicious.More

As I live in the NE of England and ordered an out-of-print book from Alan Hanna's bookshop in Dublin via the internet I cannot comment on how good the coffee is but can say if it is half as good as the service provided by...Kevin and the staff it should be unbeatable. The book arrived within a few days of ordering, well packed and in perfect order at a very good price, 5/5.More

This was a great little find. We initially went into the great little bookstore and poked around behind it and found this great little coffee shop. My Americano and my wife's cappuccino were both very good.

This little café hidden away in the back of the bookshop is a little gem. Although it’s compact with no windows, it offers tasty sandwiches / toasties, soup, salads (all made in-house & not pre-packaged ordered in) and delicious cakes / buns … not forgetting...coffees. What I particularly like about the café is the banter / chat / genuine smiles from staff. Could I make a suggestion please? – could you cover your cakes and buns as they are all on display under both the customer and staff when they chat.More

Love love this place - I am there all the time despite the fact that Rathmines provides loads of chain and non-chain options - in fact, Rathmines seems to have more coffee shops than Vienna (there was a time not so long ago when poundshops...outnumbered coffee shops around here, so this is good news). Super location at the back of Hanna's, great staff, chilled out, lovely sandwiches and coffee. The BEST brownies in Dublin - not the pre-packaged floor tiles that you get in Starbuck's or Insomnia, but real ones that taste like they were in an oven in the last 24 hours.More

I had a soup and sandwich deal there, food was really good and fressh, staff was friendly. It's a nice place located in a book shop, cosy atmosphere. I didn't rate 5 stars because I would have appreciated more soup in the bowl-portion was limited,...but appart from that, great place :)More

Went in with my mum(who is extremely fussy and has high standards which can be a pain the ...) and had a great experience. Menu was fantastic and the place was so relaxed and cosy, considering the horrific weather we had just come in from....After visiting the toilet my mum felt that she had to inform them personally how lovely the food was and spotless the toilets were, high praise indeed.More

If you find yourself in Rathmines, do yourself a favour and come here for a coffee, sandwich, soup or sweet treat. Possibly the most chilled place in Dublin to while away an hour too. Brilliant staff
