Went with a family group and there was a mix up of the coat tickets, which happens. They refused to give my wife her coat back! Even though she could describe it exactly... colour, size, brand... and it’s not that big a restaurant so it’s...More

From the moment we arrived the staff treated us both like we were the only people in the restaurant, constantly ensuring we wanted for nothing , as for the food , the only way to describe it is perfection on a plate , the portions...More

At last, we got to have lunch here. We had heard many stories about this great restaurant but always felt it was going to be too expensive. While the cost may be a bit above the average, it is worth it. The service, the food,...More

Had dinner here twice while vacationing in Dublin. Very nice experience. Good food, good wine choices, good service and great location. Our server, Ben, could not have been better. Will definitely revisit on next trip.

Great restaurant. Second time there. The last time in a professional capacity entertaining colleagues. It’s also a good place to go as a couple. I found it more relaxed than other restaurants of its standard and considering it’s auspicious reputation. Great food and friendly staff.

Great steakhouse with lots of US presidential memorabilia. Food was good Service was awesome Might be pricey for some tourists and appeared to be a largely business crowd on a Monday night. But a Dublin “checklist” visit

An culinary institution apparently but what a disappointment. For our first time there, we were given a table upstairs in a stuffy badly decorated dining room. No atmosphere whatsoever except the very loud voices of our American neighbors. Most dishes are overpriced. My friend had...More

We had an absolutely delicious and elegant dinner at Shanahan's: it was our favorite dinner of our two week trip. Before going to our table we had a cocktail in the downstairs bar that was filled with presidential memorabilia. It was a charming atmosphere and...More

There is no dress code but I did wear a blazer and khakis. Didn't want to look like a bum. I strongly recommend the Saddle Room instead, better food and way less expensive.

American Style Steakhouse and Seafood Restaurant featuring Certified Irish Angus beef and the freshest seafood and produce from Ireland's local bounty. Shanahan's ethos is simple and sophisticated. Your experience begins upon arrival. Enjoy an aperitif in the Oval Office bar. Take a moment to inspect the impressive collection of memorabilia adorning the walls. Each item commemorates the U.S. Presidents with an Irish connection or ancestry. Marvel at the bar's centrepiece, JFK's rocking chair from Air Force One. Dining in Shanahan's is a delight. The elegance of the food and service, is maintained in perfect harmony with the warmth, which personifies the Shanahan's team.
