We came here with heavy hearts but empty stomachs after the England vs Croatia game on Weds evening. It was food heaven. These people really know how to cook a steak! It's really classy - or I should say classical, with white linen table cloths...More

Our visit to Shanahan's was a special treat on our last evening in Dublin, and they did not disappoint! From the menu, to the decor and ambiance to the outstanding service we were extremely impressed. We all enjoyed the bread, the appetizers and dinner and...More

We shared the fresh crab salad starter €19 and then I had the petite filet (€46) while my partner had the rib eye (€49) accompanied by two sides around €10 each (the roasted cauliflower and the sauteed mushrooms). All was nice, but the cauliflower a...More

Firstly I’ve been to shanahans a few times over the years and I know exactly what it is. An overpriced steak house. It’s not fine dining but is priced like one. That being said the steaks are usually fantastic, the dining room is lovely, staff...More

I had my first visit to Shanahan's recently and loved it. The steaks were superb and the onion rings were just amazing. The whole experience was fantastic, from the fireside bar in the basement, to the very experienced table staff, who had the right banter...More

This refined edifice overlooking St Stephen's Green in Dublin facilitates quaint intimate spaces (rooms) that is Shanahan's. The food is of high standard yet I believe it overrated. I went to have fish as it came recommended and found it to be 'a nice evening...More

Just ate there. As with almost everything in Ireland, the people are warm and friendly. Alas, while the menu is good the food is not anything more than mediocre. Expensive. 50 Euros for a tough fairly tasteless steak. Sides are extra. Creamed corn was fine....More

There is no dress code but I did wear a blazer and khakis. Didn't want to look like a bum. I strongly recommend the Saddle Room instead, better food and way less expensive.

Description
American Style Steakhouse and Seafood Restaurant featuring Certified Irish Angus beef and the freshest seafood and produce from Ireland's local bounty. Shanahan's ethos is simple and sophisticated. Your experience begins upon arrival. Enjoy an aperitif in the Oval Office bar. Take a moment to inspect the impressive collection of memorabilia adorning the walls. Each item commemorates the U.S. Presidents with an Irish connection or ancestry. Marvel at the bar's centrepiece, JFK's rocking chair from Air Force One. Dining in Shanahan's is a delight. The elegance of the food and service, is maintained in perfect harmony with the warmth, which personifies the Shanahan's team.
